knitting resolutions
The labyrinthitis is much reduced thank goodness especially when I have had a good night’s sleep. When I am tired, i am still all off balance and it is quite depressing.
I was trying to figure out what to cast on for my next item for a project that i have committed to knit items for. I tried again to cast on socks. I wasn’t happy with the one i started and i reverted to yet another hat. That got me thinking. I really want to learn how to knit heavy socks and decent warm mittens. I can knit hats very handily. I want to be able to knit socks and then mitts comfortably. Socks are always needed by shelters etc.
So, that is my 2007 knitting resolution, to develop a heavy weight sock pattern that I am comfortable with and then move on and do that for mittens too.
I’m currently knitting a hat pattern that is new to me but I think will work out quite well. I am stalled on the shawl and blanket and am knitting more trading cards too:)
The Yarn Harlot’s new book will be out next month and I am looking forward to reading that. I will have to find some book that can go to a new home to make room for that new one. I am trying not to bring new things into the house unless a equivalent number of old things move on to other places.
I think I want to get back into making toys, and I have a sweater I would like to finish. The cables are driving me insane, though (short drive, I know). With a smile…
