it’s still winter

Just the other day I was thinking that spring would be coming soon, that spring was just around the corner.  And then we have a day like today, cold, cold and windy, cold and very windy, cold, very windy and blowing snow, YUCK.  At least the weather was milder yesterday.

I did finish the endless black scarf for #1 son’s birthday in the end of february.  I also finished another dish cloth, not exactly anything to stand up and cheer about.  I did also make a very quick one evening hat for the dulaan project: http://www.fireprojects.org/dulaan.htm  Okay, it was quick but the hat is one of the most incredibly ugly things I have ever knit and that’s saying something because it is knit out of purple yarn and those of you who know me in RL will know that I am crazy about purple and never find anything purple to be ugly.

I guess this is going to be a short entry.  However, I just want to add that I love the Halifax Regional Municipal  Library system.  My local library has books, it has new books, it has new and wonderful knitting books that I want to read and sigh over but just can’t afford to buy.

RYN: I thought that’s how old he was turning. Daughter #1 and I were talking about him on his b’day. Give him our best. With a warm smile…

Are you flooded out yet? Raining and raining here, but not too bad yet. With a smile…
