dizziness update

So today I saw the ENT.  He says that I probably have had viral labyrinthitis.  I looked it up online and the descriptions and symptoms are right on.  Basically a cold virus piggybacked onto the nerve that controls stuff like balance, the vestibular systems.  I am feeling much better today and it has been gradually getting better.  I have had this before but much milder.  I do also have Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo which has been on and off for many years.  I am learning more about this stuff and learning to adjust and adapt.  The doc. said that staying active is important.  I have been grimly walking places even though it was unpleasant and took a long time.
I realize now that I have felt unwell for most of the month of january, no wonder I have been feeling depressed and not very enthousiastic about 2007.  I wasn’t up for doing much for the new moon last week, I am now looking forward to the chinese new year next month, afterall it will be the year of the pig and I was born in the year of the pig.

Fortunately, although I have been very slowed down, none of this has kept completely from knitting.  I have finished 3 knitted pieces for a trade and am working on the fourth one.   I am looking forward to reading 2 novels that have knitting in them and to the Yarn Harlot’s new book that is coming out in march.
As an aside, my oldest son moves into his new place (a shared household) next week,   my husband is finally getting over his dreadful cold too and last but not least, there was no snow storm here today even if it was bitterly cold.

p.s. I think I have posted more here this month than I did in all of 2006!!!

I’m tired of the cold, but really, we haven’t had a horrible winter this year. However, there is a ton of snow in my driveway this morning and it makes me not want to go to the rectory to photocopy the bulletin today. *sigh* I’m sure I’ll get there, but I don’t wannaaaaaaa. With a big whine…
