Another Tuesday
But luckily, tonight is also our Weekly Knit Night, so at least I have something to look forward when I get out of work later. I plan on working on both my Battle Bonnet and my Big Red Blanket. I’m hoping to finish the rest of the helm tonight for the Bonnet. I don’t have the beard shade yet, but if I get to the point where I can add that on tonight, I’ll be a happy camper.
The Big Red Blanket.
I started this at the end of March, and this is my progress as of the beginning of June. I’ll post an updated photo of it soon, as it has grown since this one was taken. They just grow up so fast!

Something good that’s already happened today: I woke up this morning to find that Sam put a blanket over me.
I know – Ew. Its summer time. Why do you want a blanket?
Back in 2006, I was in two really bad car accidents. Both in the same month. Both of them were head-on collisions. And before you ask, no. I wasn’t driving for either of them. This was way before I got my license. The result of these accidents left me with a bad knee. I tore something or other up in there and I can’t say that it ever properly healed. I’ve got arthritis starting in my knee and in my hip on the same side. It hurts when its going to rain. It hurts when its cold. It hurts when I over-do it when I’m exercising.
But in the wee hours of the morning before the sun comes up, it gets a little chilly. Especially with the ceiling fan right above our bed. The rest of my body loves it. This is going to be the coolest part of the day (quite literally.) And I’m comfortable. Except for my leg.
And Sam gets up in those wee hours of the morning, without waking me up, and grabs the comforter. And just puts it on my right side, just enough to cover my leg. I don’t know how he knows I need this sometimes, because I swear I sleep like the dead. Nothing wakes me up. There must be something that I do in my sleep that he knows its bothering me.
But it made me feel really special to have a blanket when I woke up. I love my boyfriend so much. <3
ALW
He sounds like a keeper ; ) LOL at the Big Red Blanket. I made a Big Blue Blanket, myself — it was meant to be a baby gift, but by the time I finished it the kid was in high school.
