What have I been up to?
It’s impossible to recap what I’ve done during my long absence from OD, so I won’t even bother. Just a brief summary in point form (I’m getting hopelessly lazy – at least in writing):
- Went to Sichuan (¥|¤t) and visited Jiuzhaigou (¤E¹ë·¾), Huanglong (¶ÀÀs), Songpan (ªQ¼ï), Chengdu (¦¨³£), and nearby areas
- Realized that Sichuan is not for people who cannot eat spicy food (unless you don’t mind subsisting on bread and white rice alone)
- Reached my personal high (altitude): 4004 m – and I didn’t develop altitude sickness, thank God. So, next stop, Qingzang railway («CÂÃÅK¸ô) maybe?
- Took a fiction-writing course and confused both the instructor and my classmates by writing a murder story with hints so subtle that nobody realized there was a murder at all
- Read a whole lot of books, so many that I didn’t have time to do anything else – hence my absence from OD (lame excuse!)
- Got addicted to an online bookshelf site called anobii – here’s the link to my bookshelf: http://www.anobii.com/people/holmes/ (my user name is Holmes)
- Got addicted to an online bookshelf site called anobii – wait I’ve just typed it twice. Told you I was addicted!
- Donated crates of books to the local library and to a mainland university; thinking of donating more because it feels sooooo good giving books away
- In case you’re wondering, no I’m not suicidal
- Got started on my wedding project – yes it’s a project because there’s so much detail to look into
- Having arguments with mom and dad
- Scolding myself for neglecting OD for so long but at the same time thinking, "maybe I’m done with OD for good"
I really have nothing more to write. So, let a picture say a thousand words for me:
It’s a picture taken at Huanglong (¶ÀÀs) – I just love this pic to death.
Glad to hear that you are alright and contented.^^
