Ready for tomatoes and eggs

I have so little to do in school these days and I feel so bored.  I have on average only TWO lessons each day.  I actually have to slow down whatever job I’m doing so that I don’t end up sitting at my desk chewing my fingernails for half a day.  It’s such a waste of time when, even after surfing all my favourite websites, I still need to stare at the clock and wait for the bell to ring.

Please, hold your fire, let me explain my excuse situation first.  I teach two S.7 classes, but since they’ve already left, I have no more classes with them.  I now have only ten S.4 lessons per cycle.  Of course the higher powers are aware of this and they’ve assigned me all sorts of invigilation and remedial and adjudicating duties to keep mushrooms from growing all over my body.   Still, I’m quite free compared to other teachers.  It pains me when seeing how they’re being buried by tons of marking, while my bookshelf is gathering nothing but dust.  As I’m a very considerate colleague and I don’t want to create undue frustration among other teachers, I decide to slow down my pace in doing work by 500% so that no one realizes I’m actually dying from boredom.

I’m discreet enough to keep an active window of a work-related Word document on my laptop at all times, in case someone shows an interest in what I’m doing.  So, if anyone tries to peer over my back, it takes me only 0.2 s to switch from OD/YouTube/Yahoo Games/Las Vegas Online to "Teaching_creative_writing.doc".  And so, no one has anything to complain or envy, and a harmonious atmosphere is maintained.  See, I care so much for my colleagues’ well-being and the school’s interests.  They should really thank me.

hehe… how come you can be so humourous!!! My S6-S7 Eng Teacher, now turns to be my life-mentor and friend, enjoys his boredom actually. He reads articles, makes webpage for his 7-month-old baby girl (write everything in first person singular, i.e. imitating his baby girl and playing fools…) Suggest you to write a webpage for your wedding to kill time! gelbearmee

Haha…how considerate of you! Now that you have some much time to kill, write more in OD and help us kill our time. 🙂
