So this week has seriously been the shortest work week I have done yet since I started I think.  I actually felt good when I woke up this morning so i went to work, but as soon as i got to work I didn’t feel great.  Like I felt way better but I had that much phlegm, which isn’t something I’ve had til now.  I worked from 5am til 8am and I left to go to my doctor’s appointment.  I had a lesbian doctor this time and she was really nice.  She didn’t give me any medicine and she believes I’m at the stage where I only need some more rest, but she did say I shouldn’t be going to work, and told me not to go to work tomorrow.  So I did 5am-8am on Tuesday and 5am-8am today, which equals 6 whole hours!  Wednesday was Ekka public holiday so depending on how much sick pay I have, I should get paid for my whole 38 hours – haha, that’d be nice.  Fuck being sick though – it really has not been pleasant, and I’ll be SO glad when I can be myself again goddammit!  🙂

So now I’ve gotta go to Medicare and hand in two doctors forms, and the doctor was nice and wrote me a medical certificate for the entire week including tomorrow.  Wow what a long weekend this has turned out to be.  It just sucks I’m still coughing.  Basically that’s it – shake this cough and maybe get a bit more energy, and I’ll be back again yay!  I’ll give it two days, but last night i slept really well for once!  I didn’t keep waking up at periodic intervals and looking at the clock to find it was 1:45am or 2:32am or 3:15am.  This morning I woke up at 4:50am which is when my alarm goes off for work, so I put on my uniform with an extra jumper and drove to work.  One of my workmates asked if I was well enough to be there, as she was teh chick who answered the phone yesterday when I called in with my darth vader/macy gray voice.  My voice today wasn’t much different – it still isn’t.  It’s very raspy and i figured i couldn’t stay at work when the store opened because customers do not need to hear me like that, so Mel said I could go home after i went to the doctor. 

I had to get phone credit though as my turbocharge runs out tomorrow and I wanted to carry it over, so I went to the only shopping centre I knew nearby that had free parking, which was Merthyr, and I got served by this really cute gay guy who I swear was flirting with me, and he had the nametag Aaron (which I’m very fond of most of the time for various reasons) except I could barely talk back to him asking me questions and smiling at me cos of my damn raspy voice.  So let down!  Ah well, he was a cutie – he looked so innocent.  Always the one’s you least expect isn’t it?

So other than my week being completely shit, it’s bound to get better.  I’m itching to get back to the gym and work extra hard to work my way up to the level I expected myself to be at before i was shot down.  It’s amazing how it just takes all your energy.  No wonder those poor fuckin children died in  the hospitals, their immune systems probably weren’t strong enough to handle such a fucked up illness.  i feel so sorry for them and the parents. 

I gotta go check on my car, because as I came home early once again, I had no hope in hell of getting a park so I’m parked on the footpath outside my house 🙂  I shouldn’t get a fine, but I really don’t trust any form of government authority at all in this city – they’d kill to revenue raise if they had to.
