The simple things

My spontaneity has struck again and I’ve done what I’ve been wanting to do for a while.  I booked a hotel room down at Surfer’s Paradise for tomorrow night.  Why?  I dunno, cos I wanted to?  I wanted to do it during a time I had two or three nights off work, but I’ve only got one so have just booked for the one night.  I should get paid at midnight tonight, thank God.  Not a good week money-wise with the damn parking fine and all.
Not sure what’s gunna happen with the parking here, since the council have decided to implement new restrictions and such!  It’s all fucked up.  I had to send my landlord (who is in the UK) the forms and he hasn’t even sent them in and they were due on Nov 2nd, so a fat lot of good that does me.  My car still is using the permit which expired in December 2009, as are a lot of other people because the council has taken this long to actually do something, and now the new system is crap because I need a lease to prove I live here and it’s all crap because we don’t have leases here!  We just pay our rent each fortnight.  The landlord said he’s gunna try to sort something out.  Even if I use a visitors one, that’ll be better than getting more fines for parking outside my own god-damn house!
If worse comes to worse I’m just gunna have to get rid of the car – drive it out to the parents or something.  Be car-less.  It used to be theirs anyway before I bought it from them.
Anyway, looking forward to pigging out on junk food in front of cable tv tomorrow =)

It really is the simple things =)

Some landlords are c.u.n.t.s. lazy ones at that.

It’s a shame you give someone money on a monthly basis and they can’t return a set of forms for your parking. Fucker. Have fun pigging out boy!

I agree…it’s absolute shit that you pay rent to live somewhere and the landlord doesn’t provide the things that are necessary to live there without any type of penalties. It’s just absolute crap that that happens. I say, enjoy the coast [and the surfers!] and have fun being a piggie in the fridgey! 🙂

Stumbled across your diary 🙂 always love to add fellow aussies to my list xx ~

good luck getting the permit! We’re really lucky in my street because it’s only restricted on the other side of the road. Although I could get a resident pass if I ever needed one. xxx
