She’d better like the damn present (pics)

Vish came and picked me up today, as he does, blaring his horn outside and blocking off the one-way street in the process whilst he waits for me to run out and jump in – geesh – I keep telling him to pull over to the side but does he?  Course not lol.  Anyway, today I suggested we go to North Lakes cos we don’t go there very often.  It was cool going there and of course we were checking out guys the whole time and on Grindr.  I was plesantly surprised to get a message on Grindr from Mitch!  Of all people!  It just read – "Fancy seeing you up this way!" or something like that.  It was nice to hear from him.  I apologised for missing his birthday.  He then sent me a pic of him in his ‘Greek Mythology’ cosume, which didn’t consist of much and I said it was probably a good thing I wasn’t there to see him in that.  Yeah, you can guess how the conversation went from there.

What I didn’t tell him is that I went shopping for his birthday present, much belated I know.  We went to Chermside for the late-night shopping after we had a short rest at Vish’s place, and it was pretty awesome there.  So many hot guys were out shopping – it was crazy.  But Chermside is always pretty good eye-candy most of the time 🙂  We kept going ‘DA’YAM’ at pretty much every hot guy that passed us, just really camping it up lol it was hilarious.  I’m amazed that boy doesn’t get me bashed haha.

Speaking of bashed, I said to Vish the reason I haven’t been out clubbing much, and yeah it’s cos I’ve been a little scared off it since the incident last month on Oxford Street in Sydney.  That shocked me a bit at the time but I don’t think it’s ever really hit me (ooo, I made a pun :D).  Anyway, he’s expecting me out this weekend.  We’ll see if that happens.

So yes, I went into "Wild" and bought a ‘LIVE’ stand thingy.  I dunno how to describe it – I woulda took a photo and posted it but the lady wrapped it up for me and even put a pretty purple bow on it haha.  I had a lot of trouble deciding what to get him though!  I tend to buy close friends of mine presents for their birthdays if I can afford it.  His present was only $16 with the wrapping charge included, but I wanted a gift that didn’t come across as if I liked him or too lame either.  We (with the help of Vish and our mutual friend Nicole who we ran into) decided on the stand.  It pretty much would just sit on a bookshelf of something, but it’s something nice with a positive message.
Ooo I found a lame catalogue and did a print-screen of something similar.  It’s like this but mine is just white with no colour and I’m pretty sure the message is different and describes him, cos he really does live his life and it’s an inspiration.

Yeah, lame, but that’s the best pic I could find similar of it.  It just stands up like that, the base being the stand.

I also bought my mum a birthday present.  I went to Swarkovsky and it just so happens that Vish (being Vish) knew the lady working there.  He knows everyone I swear.  So, because he knew her, and she’s apparently leaving soon to move back home to Vietnam, she gave me whatever I decided on for half-price.
I was tossing up between a silver pendant and earrings and the sapphire-blue ones.  I opted for the blue ones and I’m really hoping my mum will wear them.  I haven’t replied back to her facebook message saying how disappointed she was in me that I missed her birthday, and I’m not telling her I’ve bought her a present.  In my mind, a good idea is to keep it a complete surprise, and let her get a surprise in the mail when it arrives next week.  I wasn’t sure about sending jewelery through the mail, but I’ve decided I’m going to go down to the post office tomorrow and get it sent via Registered Post.  And even if it does get lost, it’s only $77 down the drain.  I’m trying not to think like that though, and hoping I will be forgiven when mum opens the gift 🙂

I couldn’t find what I’d bought on any Swarkovsky website, so I had to take lame photos of my own.  This is what I’ve gotten her.  Just emphasize the quality because i think the photo doesn’t do them justice lol, but of course jewelery stores have pretty lights and stuff to make their products so much more appealing.

The little mesh-like gift bag that came with it.  I think it’s lame, but might as well include it.

And this is the pendant and matching earrings.  Not bad for $77 (was $150) I don’t think.

Vish said to me "Aren’t you glad you know someone who knows people?" – yup!

I think he’s picking me up in the morning again to go hang out with his sister.  His sister is lovely!  She’s not really his sister but he calls her that haha.  Me and her are always saying we’ll take each other outside lol.  Inside joke i guess, relating to that we’ll beat each other up.

Even though I’ve stopped working for the time being, I’ve been keeping myself so busy it seems – the days just seem to fly by and I’ve not once yet been bored.  So many friends around me are complaining how bored they are.  Seriously, I haven’t had time to be bored!

When you said pics and then Mitch in a toga outfit, I got excited that those were the pictures… I don’t care about gifts for mama! I want Mitches in Greek Slave Boy Outfits… with fountains in the background, and hunky Spartans forcing their heads down lower and lower toward… What was I talking about?

ryn: ty, I suppose my life is a bit of a drama, but hey as long as my hair looks good. lol jk. – we had a student who once invited a couple of our black belts out to SF to go clubbing, when out there tried to get them to gay bash. Our black belts, left the jerk stranded, & we banned him from our school. There is no excuse to ever hurt an innocent person. – & yeah my mom’s a nut. :0)
