Riverfire this weekend!

Oh dear God, I just read back through my entry yesterday *shakes head in shame*.  I make it sound like a fucking porno set.  Geesh. 

Anyway 😀

I got my shift over with at the Carina site.  My God it was so DEAD!  I caught the bus there.  I was going to drive and then thought better of it, as I didn’t finish til 6am and by the time I got home I’d be screwed tryna get a park, so bus it I did.  Yeah the shift was soooo quiet.  I messaged my workmate, the other night guy, at my normal work saying how dead it was, and he rang me at like 3am and I probably spent like an hour on the phone to him.  LOL!  There was seriously nothing else to do.  There was one period there where I didn’t have a single customer for 2 hours.  I did everything I could except the cleaning of the store.  I realised I shoulda done that early too because once 4:30am hit, all the tradies came through and it was rather busy!  First time all night!  But yeah, I was out the back on my phone, ate my lunch and I was dreading that the shift was going to drag.  It’s very very rare that my usual store is that dead.  Maybe on a Sunday night but not during the week.  I served 2 of my regular customers there from my normal work, who happened to be in the area.  Haha.  They were surprised to see me there.

I wasn’t wearing the right uniform.  They still have the old one there, but I only have the new one, so that’s what I wore!  I took over from this young kid.  He only looked like he was around 16 or 17 but damn he was a cutie.  Trust that to happen.  He was very helpful to me, and even changed over my shifts while I went outside to do dips (as they like to get them done there when you start, wheras at my site I just do them at 4am or whenever it’s quiet).  He was very talkative and was saying how he was always wanting hours cos he was saving up for a car, but he’d found the likes of e-bay and kept buying stuff off of there haha.  He was really cool.  I found myself being really able to communicate with him, and just to add to the ‘kid-ness’ factor of him, as he was leaving he bought two backs of sour lollies.  Haha!  SUCH a typical teenage guy!  But yeah, really cool.  Didn’t help his name was Aaron haha.  But yeah got the shift over with and luckily didn’t have to wait long for a bus home.  I used the wrong colour envelopes though for my safe drops because at my store I’m used to doing the end of day, wheras at theirs i was the first shift.  Strange.  Anyway, home now, and back to it again in 8 hours!  Ergh, least I get this weekend off 🙂  I’m looking forward to Riverfire 😀  I can actually go to it this year!  Will feel so good to go to an event where I’m not surrounded my screaming queens.
