President Obama’s Speech

Political Entry – just a pre-warning of how boring this might be to you 😛

Although I’m not American, this president really grabs my attention, and the attention of the entire room. He has so much respect. I watched his speech this morning and even recorded most of it myself just for future reference. For anyone who wants to see the speech it is here.

Once again, it was an amazing speech that covered many, many areas and would have touched the hearts of many different people.

I took a few still shots, but obviously the video is better 🙂

I did have to laugh when the camera cut to Julia when the President was talking about Human Rights. In my video version you can hear me say ‘Right on!’ in the background – whoops.

This woman we call our Prime Minister, once again reiterated her views on ‘traditional marraiage’ just yesterday. She really is becoming like a broken record.

This is our Opposition Leader. He is ‘Scared of boats and gay people.’ God help us.

I think I’d have that reaction if Tony was talking to me too

I absolutely despise President Obama. He has ruined this country and America is not near the greatness that it once was. I watched the speech, too, and it was so disappointing to hear some of the things he said. Crazy as he was, at least Bush’s speeches were entertaining!!

And as far as his words being “inspiring”… that’s all he ever does, he doesn’t actually produce any actions, he just makes people feel good. Ugh, I can’t stand him.

I wish we had Obama here and the US can have Gillard. And Abbott… they can have both of the losers lol! I have to admit, Obama can bloody talk! I ended up going online and zoning out haha.

Call Me Crazy

From another American’s perspective, I think Obama is pretty great as well. Yeah, he’s had some difficulties in congress. Never the less, he has completed a few major milestones. For example, he reformed health care such that a substantial proportion of our 47 million uninsured may now have access to care, stopped our economy from just completely collapsing, & helped repeal “Don’t ask, don’t tell”

Congress repealed DADT and lifted the immigration ban. As far as making BP to pay for the oil spill, he has no legal bearing in that matter. It’s between the Justice Department and the Supreme Court. The only thing he’s really done is put us trillions of $’s in debt.
