Pics and vid of the Brisbane river so far

Here is my album I put on facebook this morning of the Brisbane River, as I was walking past on the way home from work this morning, so approximately 6am.  Thursday and Friday are meant to be the peak height days of it, so that should be interesting.
I can’t believe that 10 people have died and 78 are missing from these floods that only began again a few days ago in Toowoomba.  The reckon that Wivenhoe dam is the whole reason this flood isn’t a complete catastrophe – even though it still is pretty bad, they built the damn after the 1974 floods hit as a way of protecting the city.  I think at last count it was at 180% or something ridiculous so they are having to let water out of it, which in turn flows down the Brissy river, and this is the result!
i saw a lot of pontoons float their way past, but this one had a boat attached to it! lol

I’m hanging out with my friend Vicky today, provided she can get into the city.  That should be fun.

If work rings me to come in, soooo not gunna happen.
