Parklife!!!

I was nice yesterday.  My boss from one of the sites I work at called me at about midday – whilst I was shopping in the city (I’d just met my friend V* for lunch), and said they needed someone to work at another site from either 2pm til 10pm or 10pm til 6am.  I wasn’t about to do an afternoon shifft, when it’s the graveyards I get paid for, plus I get paid more by doing the graveyard because it goes into weekend rates.  I just got home from the shift.  The new system is in place there, so that wass interesting, re-learning to do that again.  My til was out by -$118 at the end of my shift.  Beats me how the fuck that happened.  I certainly didn’t swipe it.  I know the guy who was on before me majorly fucked up his til or something and instead of me using the other til and swapping it over like I’m meant to, he just got me to use his til, which I assume was the first mistake in why MY til was so out, because his was in the first place.  He said his was only out by about $40 though, so how it got to $118 by the time I finished is beyond me.  Crazy.  They told me they reckon anything we lose comes out of our pay now with the new system.  Like HELL!  If that happens I’ll be looking for a new job!  The tils pretty much always balanced with the old system so I dunno what the fuck is going on with this one!  I’ve never stolen anything in my life and I’m not about to start now!  So I guess I’ll wait and see what the manager says when he counts all the amounts and tries to figure out where the problems lie.  I joked to J* (a really stunning girl who took over from me on the morning shift) that if I don’t have any more shifts there she’ll know why.  She laughed.  I was serving a couple of bogans while she was outside and they were both saying how much they’d love to shag her.  She is literally stunning, and I’ve only worked there til 3 or 4 shifts, but I swear to God every time I do, a customer will ask me if she’s still working there.  lol.  Horny bastards 😛

I checked next week’s roster while I was there too.  On top of doing tonight’s shift, i gotta work the next 5 nights in a row at the other site (closer to home).  I am gunna be SCREWED!  At least it’s cool I get weekend rates for my first 3 shifts pretty much, so hopefully my pay will look cool 🙂  It’s 8:20am as I type this and I’m meant to be at Parklife at about 11am, and then leave there at around 7:30pm to get back here to change to go to work again til 6am.  I stocked up on No-Doz tablets yesterday, but I’m pretty sure I have a bad reaction to too much caffeine so I’m a bit nervous to take them.  I’m not sure if it’s caffeine that doesn’t agree with me, I think it might be guarana.

I’m looking forward to Parklife.  I’m even looking forward to making a slight effort of dressing up for it.  There’s rumours of another Dust-Storm coming today, but further down south moreso than here, but the warnings are out.  Would be pretty cool if a dust-storm invaded Parklife 😛  I was thinking of buying a scarf just so I can cover my mouth and nose in case it arrives.  I already have my crazy pink-framed sunnies.  I’ll probably wear that, my blue singlet and some sort of shorts.  I really need a decent pair of thongs though so I might invest in that too.  Kinda wanna avoid my other work though haha.  Apparently my other work!  Not that they give me hours.  It’s coming up to a month now so I have to ring the tax department to get that job changed over to a higher-taxed bracket.  I don’t wanna be caught out.  I really don’t care about working there anymore – I really don’t like it – it’s not really me and I don’t think I ‘fabulously’ get along with anyone that great there anyway.  If I do still work there, and they want me to work, right now if they rang, I’d probably just say no.  I’m only keeping it for my discount, and until they officially tell me I’m fired, that’s what I’ll do.

OH!  And GET THIS!  I’m on the Cotton-On email list right?  I get an email yesterday saying ‘Join Our Crew!  Now recruiting managers, 2ICS, casuals and Christmas casuals’ – How bout that for a kick in the nuts!  I get the feeling they do that to a lot of people.  They hire way too many people that they give them maybe 3 months work (if they’re lucky) to virtually nothing.  I was doing roughly 30 hours a week, and it went to zilch.  My manager said I probably wouldn’t get hours til Christmas.  Well they still need staff to work there, and it’s weird when I walk past there now and see my ‘workmates’ lol.  I feel weirded out walking IN there now, and seeing J* (a friend of mine who started there after I did) out clubbing is just weird.  He said they made him a 2IC.  I just laughed and said good on him – it’s the only way he’s gunna keep hours!  I feel like maybe I sucked at the job, but I know I wasn’t too bad.  Fashion’s definitely not my thing – or maybe it is – in a shop that actually doesn’t sell clothes that one wouldn’t be caught dead wearing 🙂  Seriously, their clothes are SHIT – you can’t tell me otherwise lol.  Oh and another bad thing about working there is every person I saw out clubbing, or even in the street, I would know if they were wearing that shop’s brand clothes.  Makes me seem like one of those bitchy queens who goes ‘Omg, you shop at Target!? Bahahahahaha’.  I actually found one of my favourite shirts at the moment from Target.  Shits all over what Cotton-On can offer.

I’m liking this job MUCH better than there anyway.  Amazing owners and managers.  Just getting used to this new system and hopefully all will be okay 🙂

J* said to message him when I finished, and I did, but haven’t heard from him.  He went to G’s house last night cos I rang him and toldd him I had to work 🙁  So I’m assuming they all got monumentally fucked off their tits – which is the thing to do at Parklife anyway.  I am SO not gunna fit in there, I can see it now.  I’ll try my best to have a good time though, but I can just see now that drugged people are gunna shit me to tears.
