Out of the blue

 I was very surprised to learn yesterday (during kitchen-chats with the twink-housemates) that they both think I "exude top".

Boy oh boy, was that a surprise for me to hear!  Especially even more so when they went on to label everyone else in the house.  Apparently I have a domineering aura, or something like that, and when people look at me, they see "top".  As for Ayden, people see him as a versatile, even though hes way more of a top, and Reecie, well he’s obviously completely bottom lol!  It was quite a surprising conversation, started by Ayden because he asked what I thought Andrew was, and I said I didn’t really care (lol), and Ayden said he had to be a bottom.  Like Andrew is very dominating in his personaljty, but he’s seen as a bottom.  I’d have to say I’d agree with that.

Maybe it’s because I’m just me?  I’d love to find out what an outside perspective of me is.  I made a joke to my housemates and asked, "You mean because I don’t do this?", as I reenacted the bend-and-snap scene from Legally Blonde.  Ayden kind of explained it to me, like he looks at me and just sees "top".
I mean, it’s definitely a good thing, as I am one lol, but I guess it just surprised me, revealing other people’s judgements and opinions I didn’t know about.
I made a facebook status about it, and was even more surprised when a guy I know commented "I’d have to say I agree."
Don’t I just feel totally masc right about now? Haha!

As for today, I got called into work, but not before I went down to Centrelink to see if I could lodge my forms for another health care card.  It’s been over two months since I stopped getting Austudy payments, so I added up my payslips and worked out that I come in JUST under the threshold to be able to claim one.  Add that to the occasional discomfort I’m getting from a hole in one of my back teeth, and I decided applying for a card sooner rather than later will probably be beneficial financially, especially in regards to a soon-to-be dental visit, because I know it’s only going to get worse.

But MAN, it felt like I was waiting in that office forever.   I mean, I always wait a long time there, but they didn’t really seem to have many staff.  There was also a shirtless Aboriginal causing trouble wbo had apparently been rude to one of the staff, and he had to go sit outside, and by the time my name was finally called, the police had arrived.  The guy who was checking my forms over said that they are there from time to time lol.  Reminds me of working at the servo.  Jobs like that will always come with more dodgy people than usual.  Anyway, he added up my payslips and came up with the same amount I did.  I always think that my bank savings will stop me from qualifying for the card, but last time it didnt seem to, and next thing I knew, he said that my carx should arrive between 7 and 10 days time.  YAY!!  Now if my teeth sensitivity can hold out that long, but doesn’t seem to be too bad right now.
I thanked him, and walked back home.  It was quite a warm afternoon.  It’s really starting to warm up!  We had a thunderstorm the previous night, and it was so ni e walking home from work in the rain,  and I even removed my umbrella and let the warm rain hit me for a while.  Rain has been pretty scarce here for a while.  I’m really looking forward to the storm season here.  I absolutely love that about living in Queensland.
