Online personalities
I just had a thought tonight (in the shower, where I think most people do their thinking) about how many online profiles I’ve accumulated over the years. I decided to make a list, but even doing this I’m sure I will have forgotten some.
- Open Diary – Here. The place where I write down what’s on my mind. Some of the others listed here are sometimes cross-posted into here, as you will have noticed over the years. I’ve had it since 2004, when my first ever entry was a poem I wrote. I don’t even write poetry these days. Only you guys can see what I write here, mainly directed at ‘Favourites Only’ entries, which sometimes contain a lot of pictures, names, sex and general stuff I don’t feel comfortable sharing with the whole wide world.
- Facebook. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Right now, I’m kind of in the "If you can’t beat it, join it" boat. I accept it for what it is and I like that I can share what I want with many different lists. Open Diary readers who are also my facebook friends can generally see everything I post, which I’m sure gets annoying after a while, but just like OD Favourites Only entries, most people can only see what I allow them to. Sometimes I decide to feel vulnerable and let a few others see sensitive posts, just to get a gauge on how judgemental they are toward me, but it’s moreso because I really like those people and feel comfortable sharing a little more with them. Photos you see here are usually in private albums on facebook because their upload-photo feature is so convenient
Myspace– No longer existant, but I did have it back in the day. I was one of those people who was loyal to it and refused to change to being a Facebook user. Ha!- Banks – I have three different banking profiles – one barely gets used anymore, as it’s just a fee-guzzler and one my parents put me on when I was a little kid. Another has never charged me a single fee in 9 years and the other is for emergencies.
- SameSame – Had this one for a few years now. There I go under the username "meezon04", which I use it a few other places also, mainly porn profiles, which I’ll get to haha. It’s a nice site giving me up to date information on gay and lesbian information in Australia, which was a site we much needed here. Quite a few quirky characters on the forums also. As of this entry, I have 1739 posts on the forums. I only seem to visit every so often these days.
- Youtube – I have two different accounts here, on account of two different email addresses. Only this year have I finally converted most of the people I subscribe to onto the one account, because switching between the two was just getting frustrating. There, I am under the username "luvncrazi", which is a slight alteration of the other account where all my videos are, under the name "luvncraze". I thought of "luvncraze" because I liked the words ‘love’ and ‘crazy’ back when I was a teenager, and just sort of combined the two. Only a few videos are public on there, and once again, videos you see here from me are usually embedded from the videos I make private there. I hope that’s not too confusing haha. So now it’s annoying having my videos on my old account, but I guess I see it as a new start and hopefully I can start to make some decent video blogs one day, as the ones I’ve made in the past have all been SO LAME!
- Emails – I have at least 6 of these. I only use two of them. One proper gmail, which connects everything google-related, such as gmail, Youtube and blogger, and the other one is one I’ve had since I was 16 years old, being atruefriendship@hotmail.com (which my msn is connected to, which I barely use anymore) and that email is now pretty much full of spam, which is great for websites/hotels etc that ask for your details, so all the crap can just compile into the one email. I believe there are about 4500 unread emails in there. I usually notice them come through on my phone, and if they stand out, I’ll read them, but other than that, they are mostly spam.
- Blogger – This is the website (as mentioned before) that I use to list my music chart I do each week. I really like it and have figured that if OD ever goes down for good, I’d probably also use it for my diary. I don’t think it has "Favourites Only’ features etc however, but I’m not sure. I use this site because it formats my chart how I want it to when I cope it from my Excel spreadsheet where I compile my music chart. OD’s formatting won’t allow me to do so, and I eventually had to give up after trying everything possible. Now that I look at it, I prefer it there because I don’t think anyone cares about it when I mention that I’ve done a new one here. I, however, love doing it and it’s been one of my hobbies for many years. That web address is http://www.mattsfavsongs.blogspot.com.au.
- M4B – The forum where I list my msuic chart and spend a few hours every week copying, pasting and formatting my chart so that it looks pretty on their forum, Not many members use the forum regularly, but those who do are pretty entertaining, and it’s awesome chatting with people who have the same hobby as i do. There I am under the member name "MattsTop100" (funny that).
- Xtube – gay porn site that provides many hours of arousal and chews through my bandwidth haha.
- Gaytube – another porn site I check sometimes. Not as good, but it allowed me to upload my own personal videos. There I am under a username with "inferno" and "flame" in it (which I realise is lame as all hell and sooo pornoesque). I have one from 2009 (6656 views – as of this entry), 2010 (1134 views) and 2011 (6641 views) which are all private. The amount of views they each have are alarming considering the privatisation haha. I had a blank profile on grindr tell me he’s seen a video of me jerking off, as if I’d care at all. It just made me laugh. I still have no idea who that was. If I am to follow the way I’m going, I should probably make another video as I’ve uploaded one the past 3 years.
- Twitter – I have a twitter account, just under my own name, but I barely use it. I don’t see much point unless you’re famous. Sometimes I’ll go on if I’m bored. My friends all seem to like it however.
- Tumblr – Probably my newest account. There I only have a massive 6 followers haha! Woohoo! I’m liking it more and more, but the pictures chew up my bandwidth also. My blog on tumblr is called "The Mirror’s Reflection" (just like "The Water’s Reflection here!). I just post my own stuff from Instagram on there and reblog stuff that i think is cool. I’m convinced that no-one sees it though, so I’m not really sure why I bother. Oh well, I find it fun and that should be all the matters The address for my tumblr is <a href="http://www.p
effahh.tumblr.com”>http://peffahh.tumblr.com
There are many more, I’m sure of it, but wow – how may bloody profiles do I need!!?!?
Those charts amaze me.. I totally could not even think of 100 favorite songs at any given time.

Holy shit! Reminds me of my time on AIM, as a teenager, when I had accumulated 100+ usernames. I don’t even enjoy having any type of account, anymore. Too time-consuming. And it’s like I’m giving myself away- airing my shit out there, for anyone in the world to see. The only account I’d really enjoy having is Twitter, but I hate cell phones. And direct messaging is a hassle.

I would hate to think of how many IDs etc I have online. I’m constantly having to reset passwords to access things that I don’t use frequently (like photobucket). I currently have 4 email accounts that I access daily. That’s crazy!
