In so much pain!!
I am in a fair bit of pain, plus I’m pretty annoyed right now. I’m annoyed because I can’t do much to stop the pain as the pharmacies do not open for another at least 3 hours, being Sunday. Why 24 hour pharmacies do not exist is BEYOND me. The amount of customers I have at work who ask me at 2am where a pharmacy is pretty much justifies the NEED that they should be readily available. All the pharmacies I know close at 11pm. Bottle shops close at midnight. Go figure. Is there some sort of law? Should people NEED to go to a damn hospital just to get a much needed prescription? Should people have to deal with the pain until morning?
This happens to me a lot. Call me impatient, but it does. I remember I had excruciating wisdom tooth pain in the early hours of a Sunday morning once, and the following day was a public holiday. I was desperate for somewhere, even calling dental places that claimed to work around the clock for an extra fee, only to get an answering machine which they never called back on. I was forced to clutch my jaw and consume numerous glasses of disolved Dispirin as that seemed to be the ONLY thing that would temporarily numb the pain.
This time however it’s my wounds from the mole removal. All I want is to get waterproof bandages. Normal ones i can get, but not waterproof, which are way more effective. I’m near sure most of them are infected. Whether I didn’t follow after-care instructions properly or not, I do not know, but last night at work I knew they were hurting. And it was the QUIETEST shift ever. SO boring and dragging. Eventually got through it though and came home, ripped off all of the bandages I had on, and washed the wounds thoroughly. I wanted to get rid of any dirt or whatever had gotten in there. I don’t know if I helped anything but I got vaseline from work and applied it to the wounds after my shower, and then recovered them with the bandages I had left. I don’t know whether I should use an antiseptic or not 🙁 It’s gunna bloody hurt if I do that, but I do want them to get better. I saw how red my wounds were when I removed the bandages, especially the big mole on my upper leg 🙁 I guess this is what they mean about the wounds scarring if you don’t take care of them properly, and I thought I was. And I have to keep them covered and uninfected for another WEEK yet. This is not gunna be easy. It looks like there’s a crater in my upper thigh where the big mole was. The bandages I reapplied yesterday didn’t hurt as much as the ones i changed two days ago, so now I’m vowing to change them every single day, and hopefully the pain will fuck off. This isn’t a nice feeling, knowing the wounds are infected and that they could potentially scar more because of the infection. That’s the only reason I can think of why they are hurting. They aren’t too bad as I type this but I’m sitting on my bed and not really moving much. I’m hoping the vaseline helps, but I don’t think washing the wounds in water will do much for the crusting over 🙁 I don’t even know if I can use antiseptic on them! I was looking at the Dettol bottle at work wondering if I should get that. I didn’t. i was focused on getting home and washing them and applying the vaseline and recovering them. I changed one on my back yesterday fine, but this time I had REAL trouble. And whenever I move my shoulders, it lets air in the band-aid because it’s in the shoulder blade spot. This fucking sucks!!! And the pharmacy isn’t open 🙁 of course. Trust my fucking luck. At 9am I am gunna be waiting outside the damn shop for it to open. I’m gunna buy like 6 packets of waterproof bandaids and ask the pharmacist if I should use an antiseptic on the wounds or not. This is not nice 🙁 I feel like I want my mummy.
ughh that would hurt so bad 🙁 i remember my old roomate got a mole removed, and she was literally crying. i hope you feel better soon! xo

ouch, I hope you can get something for the pain and get an appointment to make sure everything is ok. I think the reason there are no 24hr pharmacy’s is because they’re probably the most targeted place along with liquor stores for robberies. It would just be way too unsafe to ask anybody to work that kind of shift as odds are they’d be robbed quite regularly by junkies. xxx

oh no! maybe try paw paw ointment it has the consistency of vaseline but is an antibacterial that doesn’t hurt

DONT USE ANTISEPTIC! If you have to clean it use a small amount of salt water dab and dry completely before reapplying the waterproof bandages. For the love of gawd don’t use antiseptic. xoxox

Here’s a website that tells you how to care for skin after mole removal: http://easymoleremoval.net/care-for-skin/ don’t know if you’ve googled it already and found the website or not.

=/ I can handle tattoos… but now I’m not sure if I can handle mole removal! I don’t recommend anything with alcohol to clean your wounds. It may temporarily sanitize them, but it will dry them out and that will prolong the healing process. I suggest a salt water soak to purge bacteria, while still keeping it moist, and some antibacterial gel, along with those waterproof bandages! Good luck!
