I won $200!!

 Oh thank goodness OD is working again  I tried yesterday and it just came up with weird error messages, but I guess that’s nothing unusual  I’m just glad it eventually returns.

I went out Wednesday night, after not being sure if I wanted to.  Alone.  I hate going out alone, but hey, I did.  I saw a figure walking into the club from a distance and I thought it resembled my friend, and after I got into the club, it turns out it was.
When I got there I got my raffle ticket after getting my ID scanned, but however, the front desk chick was on the phone and didn’t give me my free drink tokens, so I was like ‘WTF?  Have they stopped it!?’, so I went upstairs and had some freeBBQ food and got a drink of water from the bar – I know, how LAME right??

It was then I saw my friend and wandered over to say hi, and interrupted him and his group he was with, but it seemed to be cool and I got introduced to them.  The hot guy I know wasn’t working either, so that was a bit of a bummer, but hey who cares, doesn’t really matter.  My friend then asked me why I was drinking water and I realised they all had their tokens so I rushed back downstairs and told the front lady I hadn’t received mine and she gave me four – yay!  Back upstairs I went and got a drink.  They used to give five, but have cut it back one for some reason, but meh, still free drinks!  And I don’t drink much so it’s even better when it’s free.

The 8pm drag show happened, but it wasn’t anything spectacular and the drag queen got the raffle box and drew the first ticket in the major draw.  They do two $200 major draws throughout the night, and they offer smaller cash prizes throughout the night as well (which the DJ announces).  So cue my lucky stars when the drag queen called out Orange ticket Letter "D" number 70!!!

So I literally cried "Oh My God!!" and the drag queen was like "We have a winner!"

I strutted my way through the crowd, who were all chanting "Redraw!", still in disbelief I’d won!  She asked me my name and I said "Matt!" excitedly into the microphone, which echoed a little too loudly throughout the room haha!!  I gave her a hug, and then wondered on the eitiquette of whether I should be hugging a drag queen or not  But I didn’t really care.  OMG!!

I didn’t even open the envelope until I got home.  

One of my housemates decided to join me out which was nice and I met him outside having a cigarette and gave him a hug.  He’d missed me winning the prize though!

So we hung out and I gave him one of my drink tokens since he’d only just signed up as a member and can’t get them until next time he goes, which will be awesome!  my other housemate didn’t come out because he "wanted to catch up on sleep" lol.  Pfft.  So yay, I have a housemate who can go with me to it now!
