I swear people today had a suicide-wish

Oh I wanna write something, but I have no idea what.  I guess one thing worth mentioning is I nearly got killed once today and I nearly killed someone else today.        

Yes, well I swear people were on a fucking suicide mission today!  This car pulled out RIGHT in front of me when I was the one on the main road, so I had to slam my brakes on, and then later on, in the same trip, this mother and baby in pram decided to J-Walk across the main highway when the light was green for the traffic to whizz on through!  I mean JESUS, they were seriously asking for trouble!  Luckily they got past though – I just seriously couldn’t get over the sheer stupidity of people on the roads today.  It made me wonder why I bother driving at all.  It costs so much to run a car, and there’s always the danger of other fuckwits on the road, so you could die just from trying to get from point ‘a’ to point ‘b’!

Now that I’ve had that rant… work wasn’t too bad at all actually.  I was a bit nervous about going cos a lot of me didn’t want to do back-dock training, which is what I was told last week I’d be doing, but really, I just want to get through the next 6 weeks doing my job I know how to do so I can go on my holidays.  I can’t wait for the Hopman Cup – so exciting, and I should have a good view too.  So any aussies reading this, watch the ABC on January 5th, and you might see me in the audience hehehe.  I know, that’s ages away, but if I’m special enough, you’ll put it in a calendar hehehe.

Speaking of Calander’s, there’s some really nice one’s out now.  I’m a bit annoyed that my work is starting to slip Christmas music in amongst the normal music – as if we don’t notice.  Soon enough all I will be hearing is ‘¶’Ding Dong Merrily On High…’ ¶’ and ¶’Rudolph the fuck-nosed Reindeer’ ‘¶’                

I dunno what the deal is with the font today, I’m rather bored so was messing around with the font and the tables – I guess this is how it ended up – although it is a bitch trying to type with the formatting moving on me every second, so bear with me about the spelling mistakes – oh wait, that’s nothing unusual.

I watched an episode of Little Britain Season 3 today and an episode of Queer As Folk, final season.  God I’ve got a lot of that to go!  Well I guess it’ll keep me busy whenever I get bored, which is exactly what I am tonight.

My work hours are going to change soon, since my workmate leaves at the end of this week – and once again, to no surprise, they are NOT replacing her.  They never replace anyone haha – we’re gunna be down to 6 staff altogether, including casuals, when we used to have something like 12.  So there’s not really much option.  My manager called me in to talk to him about rosters and times and I said I didn’t care what they were, as long as I had some decent staff on my Saturday shift, cos that is always soooooo busy.  Can’t have slackass’s on any day, but especially Saturdays.  We’re gunna struggle, but I think we’ll do alright – everyone just has to work a little harder to try to get everything done.  My manager said he’ll do my markdowns – yeh right, I wonder how long that’s gunna last!  It takes ages, and I’m sure the only reason he wants to do that is to get out of putting the load away.  I guess I’ll soon find out.   My workmate’s going away drinks is now next Saturday, which should be a lot of fun.  Oh great, I just fucked the formatting up even more – *note to self – do not hit the ‘backspace bar!’*  Hey, that star looks cool.  So the only real change with my hours will be, I’ll be now starting at 4:30pm on Tuesdays (geeshus, talk about a major sleep-in) and I get to finish an extra hour early on Saturday – so I guess when I think about it, it’s like an extra 5 and a half hours onto my weekend 😀 – < hey cool, that smiley has a moustashe! :D:D:D:D *uses french sleazy accent – "Aimeriez-vous à baise ce soir ? Le cos j’ai obtenu un dur-sur que je pense que vous avez besoin de dans vous!" (umm yeh, don’t translate that…)

Phew, I think I fixed it, for the time being.  If you’re reading this, I must’ve done alright hehe.  Anyone who is on myspace tonight, and on my friends list, will see I’ve been posting some Cyanide And Happiness comics – hahaha, always cracks me up that one.  I’m not a fan of many comic strips, but I’d have to say ‘Cyanide And Happiness’ and ‘Insanity Streak’ are my favourites.  It sucks I can’t seem to find the Insanity Streak ones anymore!

So, as long as I can get through the next few weeks okay, without hopefully having to do back dock training, then I should be fine.  I don’t see how I can possibly do training anyway, especially when my boss is so short-staffed as it is.  I really don’t see it happening.

I’m still pissed off about my bill, and haven’t paid it, but I know I will just to get it out of the fucking way so I can forget about it.  tell you what, never park illegally in the CBD – you might as well hand over your bank details and PIN.  If only I’d realised and wasn’t such an idiot, but hey, I guess we all learn from our mistakes, and I’m sure this fine will look good in our Lord Mayor’s superannuation account
