holidays anytime soon?

For as long as i can remember in the past 2 or so years, I have been 79 kilos.  I haven’t weighed myself in a while, but I did at the gym today and it came up EXACTLY 80 kilos.  i was so happy.  I put on a bit of weight – my God, let’s all die, shock horror!  Haha, sure it’s like half a tub of butter or so, but at least it’s 80!  I’ve cracked the 80 mark haha.  It seems to be hard for me to put on weight, but my mum reckons dad was the same until he hit 30, and then it all just plummeted on hahaha.  Oh well I’m only like 6 years off 30.  oh God i really gotta stop thinkin like that, how depressing! 🙂

the way i am and have been for years is strange.  i reckon even at 30, I’ll still act like a teenager.  You’ve only really gotta grow up when you get married or have a kid or get a steady boyfriend or girlfriend or you get a skilled job.  Haha let’s face it, I have none of those 🙂  Well of course my job has it’s skills, but nothing you’d need a university degree for.

I just want holidays.  Purely for some financial relief I think.  If my teeth dont stop fuckin hurtin all my holiday pay might just go straight to the dentist.  Stuff that shit.  Can’t believe it’s been like 10 months since I last went. SO wish i could qualify for a health care card.  if I had one of those I wouldn’t have to pay a cent.  And it’s quite ironic that I earn fuck all and am still over the limit to qualify for one (unless they’ve changed it recently) – so as soon as i get a bill like that I’m out of pocket.  But let’s face it, toothache isn’t something you wanna live with.  I’ve pretty much cut all added sugar out of my diet, and have for ages now.  Tea tasted shit without it, but I’ve grown to like it now.  I cringe  when I look at the confectionary in aisle 1 at work now, purely cos of the damage it can do.  As soon as i have anything containing sugar, my teeth pay for it, especially on the left side of my mouth.  It sucks!  Especially on a work day, or any day for that matter!

So yeah I want holidays.  A month off to get paid to not go to work sounds bloody good to me right about now.  But I doubt I’ll get mine for ages, everyone else is taking theirs…

Congratulations, it’ll be muscle from the gym, for sure. When you say that your teeth suffer if you eat sugar, especially on a work day it makes me wonder whether the combined acidic effect of the sugar and the stress of working make things worse. If you’re interested, check out the book called “the PH Miricle” about keeping your system alkaline. There’s lots of benefits. Interesting read too.

I’ve never really been into lollies – lucky me! My teeth are the envy of 99% of people (if not my scalp lol!). Can’t wait for this saturday night! I’m older than you by 6 months dammit. I feel a bit old already – just in terms of being compared to teen years. Also my Dad has a massive gut and mine will be headed that way…

Have you ever thought about joining a health fund or something to look after your teeth? When my teeth started stuffing around i joined up with Medibank Private Single’s Extra coverage, and i was lucky enough to not have to wait the usual 2 month waiting fee. It costs me $14 a month, but it covers significant dental stuff – it helps! Look into it! If you can get the deal where you don’t have to wait the 2 months, then technically you could always join up, pay your $14 or whatever, get the work done, then cancel your account 😛
