Hey big spender!

I found out yesterday at work that we have both a new store manager, and a new department manager.  Great..  I’ll really miss our store manager because he was awesome.  We’ve got this other guy now who isn’t too bad, but i haven’t seen a bad side yet, so I’m kinda laying low, just doing my thing.  I took it as my opportunity to finally hand it my transfer request, as it has my now old managers signature on it – and I handed it into the invoice office.  I told Kimmy today at work that I had done so yesterday, but she’s the only one who’d know, besides the invoice office lady who would’ve found it.  I just hope it gets passed on and hopefully within 4 weeks I’ll find out whether I get my transfer.  If I get my 2nd preference It’ll sure be interesting.  Just have to wait and see.  I may not get it at all.  I just figured it’s been 6 months since I said I’d transfer, and now I’m actually going for it.  Just with the change of managers and the staff situation being so good where i am, i stayed on, burt now things have changed, and the price of fuel and parking issues, I’ve decided I need to do something about it.  Sure I’ll lose my position which I love, but it’s always good to try new things (or old things depending what i get), and I’m near positive the pay will be the same as it never went up or down.  it just depends if there are any full-time positions available at either store.  i figure with the new financial year upon us, there may be a chance, and I just gotta wait and see what happens.

Today turned out to be an interesting day.  I only worked 5am til 10am (being my half day) and as usual i couldn’t get a park when I got home, and I had been thinking at work that I would get a haircut and colour done.  So I ended up driving out to Jindalee and checking out the DFO.  The only thing I bought there was a roast pork meal for myself – and the large guy behind the counter who served me was quite amusing complaining that the other guy he was working with was acting like his mother, and he came to work to get away from his mother.  I dunno why i think that’s worth mentioning but I’ll read back on this in a few years time and know what that guy was on about.  I didn’t mind DFO except the clothes were mostly crap.  Real cheap though, except the shoe stores – they arent bargains at all.

I kept going along the highway and went to Mt Ommaney, but I wandered around there for ages and wasn’t satified either.  I kept going again and arrived at Indooroopilly at about 1pm.  I spent 7 hours in the shopping centre!  $572.95 (I just added up the receipts) later, a new outfit including Converse shoes, shorts, jeans and awesome blonde hair, I made it back home at 8pm.  my hair took 2 hours and with products cost me $213 alone.  it’s the most I’ve ever spent, but I guess there’s always a first for everything.  I just hope when rent comes out tomorrow there’s enough in there 🙂  Should be hehe.

But I splurged.  I’ve been busting my ass lately and been neglecting myself for a while when it comes to treating myself (sex doesnt count), so I figured why not.  The chick who did my hair was awesome, and I loved it at Indooroopilly.  There was SO many hot guys out today I was doing double-takes in every direction.  i even vetoed and followed one guy and his girlfriend cos I couldn’t stop checking out his butt.  Haha – fun times.

So yeah considering i was by myself I had a fun afternoon – i guess you have to when you spend that amount of money which is the eqivilent of a year’s rego or a months rent!

I’ve been annoyed too because my teeth have been pissing me off again, and I’m pretty sure I’m gunna have to book in soon back to the dentist.  I just wish they would stop causing me so much trouble because it’s getting ridiculous and I’m not gunna go on about my teeth again because it shits me enough that this happens and it costs so much.  I’m still with my insurer so I guess that’s a good thing at least.

Tax time is soon again also.  Yay NOT.  I never friggin well get anything back anyway – I don’t see the point.  Maybe I’ll get back enough to barely cover the cost of however much my teeth will set me back.

Two more big days at work to get through until my weekend yay.  i almost forgot to pick up my workmate this morning because I would’ve slept in if she hadn’t have rang me waking me up.  I pick her up on Thursday mornings from now on because she can’t get to work otherwise and she starts the same time as me on a Thursday.  I’m a bit envious of her at the moment because she’s started talking to the cute boy in perishables and we both have a crush on him.  She’s got a better chance than I do though!

Hopefully there will be some good and big changes happening soon.
