I GOT THE PLACE!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Omg I am SO excited!  The owner rang me late Saturday afternoon, around 7pm actually – so rather late.  It was 10am where he woke up – in AMSTERDAM!!! 

So yeah I had an hour long conversation with this guy, and by the end of the conversation he said the call would’ve cost him about $70 hahaha.

My God what a life he seems to live!  he travels the world with his work!  He reckons he has been to just about every gay bar in the world!  God he told me some stories.  Mainly about unexpected hookups and stuff and how Amsterdam is exactly how its portrayed – naked women in shop windows along  the canals and all.  Jesus!  Haha, sounds awesome.  And apparently Amsterdam was the very first gay party place in the world.

So we spoke for ages.  i was kinda excited to talk to him, and just kept being myself.  And yeh the conversation went for over an hour.  he said he’d talktothe other guy (my competition) and would let me know by midnight if I had the room or not.  At about 10pm as I was walking around the city with my friend lindsay, i got the message, and was waay too scared to read it.

The first part read ‘Hey Matt…’ and that’s all i could see from the opening inbox page and lindsay said ‘just fuckin read it already!’ so i forced myself to, and the rest of it was ‘The room is yours, my account details are…’

YAY!!!!!

My future with OD is uncertain.  I’m moving over the next few days.  Telling Bryn wasn’t weasy but i knew I had to.  I had to build up the courage for ages though and to tell him i wouldn’t be paying rent this Friday cos that’s when my first lot of rent goes into the new place.  He doesn’t understand why I’m paying a lot more, but hey, it’s only money.  The place is beautiful and it’s a great location.  I reckon I’m gunna have a problem with parking, but other than that, it should be good! 

I just hope I can really become friends with my new housemates.
