God I’m Stuffed

Waiter! Bring Me Water! – Shania Twain

He took me to–our favorite spot
A place we go to hang a lot
Something seemed to catch his eye
Oh–oo–oh over my shoulder
Oh–oo–oh over my shoulder

I turned around–to see what’s up
A pretty young thing sure enough
She was new–he wanted to
Kno–oo–oh–oh–oo–ow her
Kno–oo–oh–oh–oo–ow her

Oh–yeah–
then she flicked her hair (yeah!)
Oh–yeah–he began to stare

[Chorus:]
Waiter! (Waiter) Bring me water!
I gotta make him keep his cool
(Waiter) Bring me water!
He’s acting like a fool
(Waiter) Bring me water!

Uh, oh, I did my best–to block his view
But it was like he could see through me
I just knew–he wanted to
Ho–oo–oh–oh–oo–oh–old her
Ho–oo–oh–oh–oo–oh–old her

Oh–yeah–I ain’t gettin’ nowhere (yeah!)
Oh–yeah–she’s still standing there

[Repeat Chorus]

There’s gotta be a way to cool this clown–
he’s starting to embarrass me
I may even have to hose him down–
bring me water
I don’t know what he finds so distracting–
what’s so hot about her
I really don’t like the way he’s acting
Bring me water!

Uh, Bring it on!
Uhhhh
Oh
What’s so hot about her
Uh, uh, uh,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Waiter, bring me water)
Gotta make him keep his cool
(Waiter, bring me water)
Send him back to school
(Waiter, bring me water)
He’s acting like a fool
(Waiter, bring me water)
Waiter, bring me water

I’m actually feeling a little below-mellow tonight.  Kinda down I guess you’d say.  I worked my fucking ass off today at work.  I did so much stuff, and seriously, it felt like I was the only guy who did out of the four staff we had on today.  I managed to do my scan, markdowns for the entire department, a trolley of excess, eggs and ALMOST the entire dairy load when it came in tonight after freshing the entire department.  I only had about 20 minutes for lunch and no othjer breaks because I had so much to do.  The reason I’m feeling a bit down is because midnight ticked over (the end of my shift) when there were around about 20 boxes left to fill.  I was trying so hard to get it done on time, and had a casual helping me like I usually do, and normally he’s pretty good, but tonight, he kept disappearing.  All the fucking time.  It was really starting to annoy me and I had a go to him about it and he claimed he was taking pallets out.  Yeh right as if it takes that long to do.  The point is, the load would’ve got done if he hadn’t have fucked around, and right now I’m at home typing this and I am so fucking stuffed.  I worked so much today that I don’t know what I’ve gotta do tomorrow – haha but now that I’ve said that I’ll be running around like a headless chook again during tomorrow’s shift.  I feel like I fit three days work into the one shift today.  I was in such a working mood that I would’ve stayed back and done overtime to get the rest of the shit done, if I were allowed to, but no, my work is too anal retentive about keeping every cent of their 3.2 billion dollar half year profit…

So I’m listening to some soft music, trying to unwind a little.  I just had my dinner, which was Chicken Korma, which was beautiful!  I checked my email in a hope that one of my ebay items had sold, to make me feel a bit better and that all my work today was worth it, and I was in luck – one of them did!  🙂  Only 40-something to go lol, but they are the auction items.  I’m getting rid of most of my CD’s except for the ones I really wanna keep, because I figure MP3’s are taking over these days.  Cd’s will go out just like cassettes did.  I remember when CD’s were exciting.  Now they are just like ‘meh’.  Although I am excited that Jessica Mauboy’s got her album out, even if it is a cheap marketing gimmick of her ‘Journey’, like Damien Leith’s was.  Jesus, let em release their own albums like in previous years!  I do love it whenever Billy Gilman releases a new CD too – those I’d never get rid of.

I’m so blessed to read all the nice comments from my last entry.  I really do thank you guys for reading it and giving me your opinions and nice encouragement towards what I had to say.  I guess I was on a bit of a roll.  I actually printed it out and took it to the city where I met a friend for dinner last night (cos I finish at 9pm on tuesdays – the ONLY day I don’t finish at midnight), and he read it and said I did a good job.  And this is a guy who reads a hell of a lot of books so I wasn’t expecting anything, just thought he might like to read it.  It was nice of him to say though and he coulda just been doin the friend thing.

I know after writing that entry, it really stayed in my mind for a long time – like I really pondered on it, and even read it back over to myself, twice I think.  I like it when I can write something people can actually appreciate.  It’s really feelgood… So once again, thank-you.

As for posting it on myspace, I’ve had one comment but that’s about it.  I guess myspace really isn’t a place where people go out of their way to read other people’s blogs, like I do haha – people are more preoccupied with making their own pages look better and trying to get a friends list with the hottest people on it.  I think I’ll stick to my beloved Open Diary.  At least I feel more at home here and have made awesome online friends with people who have a same interest as me – keeping a written track record of their life!  I mean, it’s pretty cool to do that if you ask me.  In a way it’s writing down history.  The only other type of history is memories, which fade.  Writings seem to hang around much longer…

My work hours have changed yet again.  Not so much my hours, but my days.  So much for having weekends off.  I now have to do one Saturday in every three, because the casuals on weekends are that incompetant of doing their fucking work, that they need someone there to supervise them.  I am not happy.  Because now once in every three weeks I get Friday and Sunday off, and have to go to work on the Saturday.  A BROKEN weekend!  At least it’s a 6 til 3 shift, but I’d prefer it to be earlier just to get the hell out of there so I can continue enjoying my weekend.  If I think of working that Saturday as part of my weekend, I’ll be ok

ay.  But I am not happy that the only reason I’m having to do this is because the casuals fuck around when there’s no-one there to watch them.  Christ, it’s not a hard job to do – fill shit for one measley shift, but they can’t even do that.  Of course, I have to do the first one next week, and boy I’ll be letting a certain someone have it.  "The only reason I’M here is because YOU can’t work!".  Why not say that? – it’s true ain’t it.  Gee, where can we find some decent staff?  The guy who does the Sundays is actually a checkout guy who doesn’t know the first thing about Perishables – gee, go figure the staff planning for that one Wayno…  All he has to do all day is keep milk and ice full, but apparently he can’t even do that.  *shakes head*  I told my manager that this new roster is a waste of time.  Nothings gunna change.  Friday night’s load is huge and he expects it all to get done Saturday.  Fat chance.  For a start, I’m not there Friday night to get a start on it, and on Saturdays I’ll be up on the checkouts because it’s always so busy and they never have the staff either.  I dunno why I bother sometimes.  My old manager never had as many problems as this guy gets himself into.

It’ll be good to see my old manager again.  He’s having some going-away dinner on the southside on the weekend.  I’m really looking forward to it, then probably getting smashed, then somehow making it to Big Gay Day on Sunday.  They actually advertised it on B105FM last night as I was driving to meet my friend – couldn’t believe it.  I’ve already set out a budget of what I can spend – I’m gunna stick to it, and have a FUN weekend!

RYN: Had that vid up because a guy I go to uni with, his girlfriend is the sister of that chick, and she still can’t live it down apparently. It must be frustrating to do all this work for nothing! In a perfect world your extra work would be rewarded by promotions or bonuses. Now it’s like filling a bucket with a hole in it… Have fun at the biggayday

When I worked at Coles, the boys who did the load were always so hot! Is it the same at your work? RYN: You would win everytime! I’d always choose you over them.
