Fake Beach (pic)

Ergh, what a blurry photo.  Oh well.  I worked last night, then did gym (abs and a short run today cos I did weights yesterday) – it’s soooo good to know I have my gym membership back 😀  I feel like I wanna go every day.  I’ve been eating lots and lots and today I thought I was looking a bit fat in the tummy!  That’s never happened before.  I guess that’s a good thing.  I need the fat to work it off again.

I’m still on a high from the compliment from the personal trainer I renewed with.  He’s seen me there a few times when he’s in at gym early.  I don’t use personal trainers as I’m happy with my own routine and PT’s are a bit out of my likeable price-range anyway.  He’s pretty new there, but is generally a happy guy and has had one conversation with me before.  he couldn’t believe that I’d work an 8 hour shift and then do a gym routine.  I didn’t tell him that I also walked home lol.  Still, he’s going about it the right way if he ever does wanna train me – by being friendly and such.  Anyway, when I renewed, he saw my initial photo that was taken when I first signed up and he saw the difference in me now.  I told him that I wasn’t looking to be buff, but that my intention was to get a bit of definition.  That’s when he suggested something to me.  "Have you tried super-sets?"  I answered "No", even thought I had no idea what the hell a "Superset" even was lol.  He didn’t explain either, but I didn’t say I didn’t know.  I pretty much left right after back for home that day.  I looked it up last night at work on a google search on my phone, which sent me to wikipedia.  Interesting.  There’s two ways of doing supersets and by God I reckon I’m gunna be sore as all hell after I’m finished with them.  They do however only involve two exercises.  I usually do three.  I’ll probably do the third anyway.  Supersetting doesn’t seem that different to what I currently do anyway.  It’s basically moving from one exercise to another without a break in between, using the same set of muscles.  Ouch.  I prefer that one over the other way of doing it, which is using an opposite muscle group.  Might as well give it a try!

I walked home and stopped off at the Southbank Beach on the way home.  There were excavators moving sand into place on either end of the beach, but I just put my stuff around them.  It was about 6:30am, and although the sun was up, it was mostly hiding behind a cloud – dammit.  So much for tanning, which I BADLY need.  When I get a chance, probably next week, I’ll be working on that, probably making use of my wet n wild membership, but it’s been raining so much lately.  Even at work last night it started POURING down, for about an hour.  It was good cos it tends to keep away my customers, but it was a typical busy Tuesday.  I think people still think that fuel is cheap on a Tuesday.  It’s really not – it used to be years ago.  Fuel is cheapest on a Thursday night and Friday morning, currently.  At my work anyway.  Save yourself 12 cents a litre people!

The water was cold when I first got in, and I was my typical wuss-self until I got past my nuts in the water, then braced myself and dove under.  As always, the feeling of the water washing over me was amazing!!!  SO SO good.  I didn’t wanna get out of there.  I did freestyle for a little while in the 1.8 meter zone, but I’m no swimmer haha.  There were about 8 other people swimming there at that time of the morning and some guys working out on the beach.

I then moved over to the other pool, which only has a 1 meter depth, but there is no sand that sticks to my feet.  I splashed around in there like a kid for a while.  It was fun!
I walked home, with a lot of thoughts in my head that I thought I should write in OD, but of course I never actually get around to it or remember what I wanted to talk about.  I was almost gunna make a video entry at the fake beach, but yeah I always feel a little stupid, even still to this day, making video entries in public.  I was thinking however how I’ve lived in Spring Hill for four years now, and I’ve probably only stopped in to swim at that beach a handful of times, and how I should just take what I have in life for granted.

I’ve told myself I’m going to call up the car place and ask for my car back – to just leave whatever hasn’t been done and just ask how much it is, head down there and pay them what I owe.  This has gone on far too long.  Today is February 1st, 2012.  I took my car there on December 2nd, 2011.  When I DO get my car back, I will leave the worst review for them to add to the already bad one on the truelocal website.  Hopefully other people won’t get themselves into the situation they’ve caused me to be in.  Pathetic is the only word I can think of to describe their business, but in typical me-style, I think of the positive in that they haven’t given up on fixing it and they were able to tell me what they couldn’t figure out, but c’mon, two months?  Every other place I’ve taken my car to I’ve had it back in two days!
I’m looking forward to being able to to drive again.  I haven’t driven my car properly in what feels like a year, and probably almost is.  It’ll feel weird driving and I’ll have to get used to it again, but I’m looking forward to being able to drive to the coast rather than train, to drive to get my groceries rather than lugging them everywhere or having them delivered, and being able to drive to other gyms besides my usual one on my days off.  I might even drive to work again!

I’ve got two work shifts to get through, and then I’m off to Melbourne on Friday.  I’ll be leaving Australia’s Bogan-City for Australia’s Cultural City for three days.  It’s been a few years since I was in Melbourne last, so I’m looking forward to it.  I still have no idea what to expect at Dayglow, other than what the website shows, but that’s what I’m going to!

I’m currently eating icecream and blackberries I bought from the Wednesday city markets.  I asked the lady if they were the same as Mulberries – she said they aren’t as sweet and are better with something, so I got them anyway and I am trying them with my icecream.  I can’t believe how yummy it is!! 🙂

You need to make a complaint about that car. That is outrageous. I’d be going crazy. I had a look for you, check out the Office of Fair Trading. I’d be threatening them with a complaint! http://www.fairtrading.qld.gov.au/car-repairs-for-consumers.htm

Dude are you sure they still even have your car? Did they scam you and sell it or something? 2 MONTHS?? I don’t have a lot of faith in humanity, lol. 2 months seems really sketchy. Last time I took my car into the shop they kept it for 3 hours and I was sketchin’ lol. My nail polish almost matches your font color today! It’s a bit lighter and more pastel than your font, but I’ve had lots of wine so, CLOSE ENOUGH, right??

Picked a good time to come to Melb, it’s gonna be 27-32 degrees all weekend. Which is good because it’s been about 20 degrees this week.
