Oh boy, the big question is, how is today any different from yesterday? I work from home, I walk the dog, I cook the dinner.
What went well, work edition: my attitude is a little better because I had a long talk with a coworker and I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I set a meeting to do some cool stuff at work with someone I respect, I hope to remember to be grateful for that. I’m glad I found out my coworker’s birthday was today so I wasn’t too crabby with her.
What went well at home: I reached out to someone on craiglist about cross-country skis! With a little luck and fifty bucks, I can make the skijoring idea a reality. I found the stuffed peppers recipe that I loved, and my kitchen is still clean. I have more clean jeans than dirty. Dog got some extra play time tonight, but it left her all keyed up when I brought her back in and she bounded and bolted through the upstairs several rounds in a way she never has before – lol!
Someone said you can feel spring in the air as early as the second week in February. Since it’s a melty 34º out, I’m going to say I do.
My life is remarkably boring these days. In many ways, it’s exactly how I like it. I have very low stress and every opportunity in the world to live a healthy lifestyle. I was thinking earlier about how I should walk through the property next door to figure out the best way to the trails by cross-country skis. I then realized how lucky I am to be in this location … skiing with my dog on lunch breaks, it doesn’t get much better than that! I have miles of paved and dirt trails just a half a block away, and I would be foolish to give this up at this time.
I would like to add more people to my life. I see my son, family, and friends a few times a week, but I need to find opportunities to meet new.
