SNOW!

Yes, I do love snow…  So, we got a good bit last week and I never plowed it until Monday afternoon.  At which point I noticed it was a nice almost melting temp and it was clumping together.  Well, I decided I might just have to make a snowman since it has been a LONG time…

So I started…  Unfortunately I found that rolling it didn’t really work…  After a while I realized it was more like modeling clay.  You could slap it together, but it wouldn’t really stick on it’s own.

So I ended up more or less scraping it up in my hands and slapping wads of it and squashing it together to make some more or less roundish looking balls.  But it just wasn’t big enough or something.  I just wasn’t satisfied.  I thought, well why not some legs?  So I made some legs.  I had to hurry with the second one though, because he was facing the road and with just one leg… Well…  Let’s just say it kinda looked like I might be making a snow porno…  (:

So he got legs and some feet.

Then I wondered whether the snow would behave well enough that I could make him snow arms.  Normally that doesn’t seem too likely.  It took a bit of effort, but I got them!

Then I managed to scrape up some gravel and give him some semblance of a face.

I was quite pleased.  (:

Sara had made a comment that I should make a snowdog as well.  I was getting pretty tired and didn’t think that was going to happen,but then I thought, well if the dog was laying down that might not be that difficult.  So I used Shadow as a model(we always said she should get a job in that field) and I made something I could tell rather looked like a dog!

Now, realize that I am anything but an artist or skilled at these sorts of things, so it may not be super, but for me it’s incredible work!  hehe  (:

I need to take another picture, I’ll try to remember when I get home.  We got a good bit more in the past couple days and Snow Shadow is all but disappeared in the snow!
