Shoes and missing food. *E
You know, here’s something simple, but is inspiring me to rage. Though I’m trying to hold judgement until I hear from someone which probably won’t happen this late in my morning…
My leftover sandwich… It’s not there(the fridge at work)… I left it at the restaurant yesterday at lunch and even went to the trouble to go back and get it. It was half a chicken salad ciabatta…
And as near as I can tell from staring at the fridge for a while now, it is NOT there… I’m trying to think of somehow that maybe I forgot and didn’t put it there, or took it out… But, I’m pretty darn sure I remember walking over there and putting it in(and otherwise it would be here on my desk where I would notice it…) and I didn’t have it with me when I left work… And I didn’t open it otherwise I would have the packages of crackers that were in there with it, which I do not.
So I am pretty darn sure it SHOULD be there…
It enrages me that it is not. There is the possibility that someone took it and ate it. That would be enraging as well, but I find that really low on the likelihood scale…
What I find more likely is that someone went in there and said "something smells" (cause I heard this yesterday morning or maybe the day before) and decided to just toss my sandwich which would have been all of oh.. MAYBE 3hrs old at that point… So the utter STUPIDITY of said person is what’s enraging me even more…
Like I said, I’m trying to hold off complete judgement till I can hear from someone, but it’s likely at this point that no one will be back here before I leave for the weekend.
And it’s not so much that I had my heart set on that sandwich(I would have liked it, but not eating it is not that big a deal), it’s just the fact that someone took my stuff, and more so that they probably did so with some sort of utter stupidity…
GRRRRRRRRRR….

OK, mystery solved. I am less upset now. Would have been nice if she had told me, but sounds like honest mistake. Though really, still stupidity on 2 people’s parts. Stupidity part one falls on co-worker who left some sort of chicken dish in the fridge long enough to be covered in fuzz. Stupidity(less so) on second co-worker’s fault for cleaning last night and dumping my sandwich on the floor. But it sounds like an honest mistake, so I can’t fault too much there. And she did say she would have to buy me another sandwich(not that she really has the money for it). I told her no, it wasn’t that important I was just trying to figure out where the heck it went.
So, time to switch to happy and get out of here!
On the HAPPY front, I committed to my fivefingers last night by cutting the tags, putting some tape on my heels and walking out the driveway and up the road a bit and back. I’m still not positive if I should have the next size up, but I do rather love them. I hadn’t noticed till I got out on the driveway that they do indeed give a large barefoot feel, it’s just that the small gravel in the driveway doesn’t hurt when you step on it(but you CAN feel it). Cool beans. Need to take them for more of a walk/hike.
Glad to hear it was an honest mistake. 🙂

Mystery solved… that would have bothered me, too. I hear good things about the Fivefingers and am curious to try them. Keep us posted on how you like ’em!
