Earthquake!

Wow.  Crazy…  My little town in Western/Central NY not that far from the PA border just had an earthquake.  Apparently they’re saying it was a 5.5 out of Lake Champlain/Ontario felt everywhere from Pa to Ohio,  Wi, to VT and Canada.

I’ve never felt an earthquake.  Sitting in the office here, it was kinda like: Is someone up on the roof doing something?  Must be really strong wind…  Then someone mentioned earthquake.  Yup.  Kind of a feeling like being on big cruise ship.  Everything just swaying.  Weird…

That is definitely the hub-bub at the moment…

Though As crazy as Twitter is going, I don’t see ANY mention of damage.  Weird.  most buildings around here aren’t made to shake much…

And yes, I did have some visions of the third floor of the brick building falling down on the 1 story section that juts out where my office is…

Congrats on your first earthquake experience! In high school, I was standing in math class talking to my teacher, and the floor started to make rolling waves – you could see them undulating. Very weird. Glad your building didn’t fall down!

Supposedly people felt it down here but I didn’t feel anything that’s for sure.

I’ve slept through a few earthquakes in my life. Every time I’ve gone to Peru there’s been an earthquake, but I managed to just sleep through it with my brother. I only woke up when my family rushed in to see if my brother and I were ok. We were just pissed they woke us up for no reason lol.

When we had one here a couple of years ago it felt like heavy traffic outside.
