Do you believe in redemption?

So, a question I find quite interesting…

I’m hoping some of you watch Heroes?

If so, this question will be pretty straight forward.  Do you believe that Sylar/Gabriel can/will be a hero?

Now, I’m not saying 100%, but in general.

See, I’m watching and for a while now I’ve been getting excited at the prospect of Sylar turning good.  My inner belief system says that people are always a mix of good/bad.  So, I think he was in the bad side, but he is now turning toward the good.  I’m not saying I don’t think he may make mistakes and do some bad things still, but I believe he can turn to a mostly good side instead of mostly bad.

Now, Sara has more an opinion of "he’s evil".  Like he’s all but incapable of being good.

This does rather track with life in general.  I’m a believer in there being good in everyone.  It’s just more difficult to see it in some than others.

So I’m curious…  If you watch heroes, you’ll be familiar with the situation.  If not, then in general, what’s your opinion?  Are there people who you can just never forgive and just can’t believe can ever be mostly good?  (I’d guess if you’re more of that opinion than you won’t really feel there’s a "mostly" about it.  You may be more of the black/white crowd…)

Dunno.

Let me know what you think….

Don’t watch! I don’t know if I agree that everyone has good in them (or bad). I’ll have to think about this.

I wanted to watch Heros but it was on too late when I was teaching and I missed all the stuff then, so I need to get the DCD’s or something. I believe some people are just pure evil. Hitler for instance. EVIL! Some are mostly evil, they can be found in prisons all over for killing many people and doing horrible things.

I’ve never seen the show – but I’m pretty sure that there’s good in almost everyone.

ryn: It’s fine. It really is. That guy flew into Detroit, and I heard security was really bad for a few days after that. I think it happened on December 28th… if I’m remembering correctly. I flew out of Detroit on the 30th and it was the fastest I’ve gotten through baggage check and security the entire time I’ve been travelling. I have not noticed any difference whatsoever in TSA lines,or tougher screening or anything. So I would say… travel away!
