 Hmm, so we went to the pond meeting.  Kinda nice to meet some of the neighbors.  As always, we are the youngest ones there.  They seem to have issue with people showing up. but did better at this meeting.  the other thing I’ve noticed about the people who live around the lake is that they all seem to have some pretty serious opinions and they do not agree with each other…  There’s a good bit of finger pointing and what not.  At one point, two guys were quickly starting to escalate into something really nasty.  Pretty sure this is not the first time.  And some other lady replied to some water testing info by saying that this was why she stopped coming to the meetings because this wasn’t true…  Blah blah, it’s so much nicer when everyone gets along…

Other than that, I went out and mowed trails for an hour, and I did manage to pick out a hotel for my sister’s wedding, so that seems to be a big accomplishment.  Still not exactly sure why there’s such a hurry to book rooms in September, but it will be good to have that finalized.

Oh, and then Sara brought in the mail last night and I got a note that my health insurance was dropped. And this morning I got a note from my coworker saying the same thing.  So infuriating.  Hopefully it’s just some minor glitch, but it just shouldn’t be happening and the bosses seem to make it complicated and mess things up and have said that they wouldn’t do insurance again.  They just really seem to have no concept of employee benefits.  You get paid when you work there, you get 10 days of vacation a year and once a year they toss some extra money into your retirement fund(because it’s a tax benefit for them).  No holidays, sick days, and the whole health insurance thing comes across like the staff is such a pain in the ass for wanting such a thing.  The bosses are just on such a different page.  I’ve had a handful of messages this week where they say something and they just don’t understand what’s going on, worse yet make it sound like I did something wrong, and I type up a response, then just delete it because I realize I’ve done this before and they just won’t get the thought.  It’s pointless to try and reason with them…

Anyway.  Today should be good.  Relaxing for a bit, then gonna go mow trails for another hour, then head out for some lunch, then see if there’s some sort of sale at Dick’s, give some blood, then dinner at my parents while my brother is visiting.
