So, when we checked out of the King Suite at the Super8 I found out why it seemed so nice.  Apparently that was NOT a standard King room.  I guess someone decided to stay another night and they were out of rooms so we got upgraded to the Sweet King Suite(I made that name up) which is the only one that is like 2 full rooms(besides an efficiency they have).  So that was cool, and good to know should we think we might go there again and get the same thing.  (:

We both got a bit cranky on the way back Sunday.  Probably partly the weather, partly tired of being in the car and maybe partly not liking the idea of getting back to work the next day.  But we FINALLY made it to a place to eat for lunch around 1 I believe.  It was a Charlie’s Restaurant (Charlie Reidell I think).  We thought it was more of a sit down place, but it’s like Tom Wahl’s.  You go up, order a burger or something, then take it to your seat.  Kinda somewhere between Fast food and diner I guess.  I find that sort of place ok, but not really something I look forward to a lot.  Still, we felt better afterwards and the rest of the trip was only like an hour or so, though we did stop for a bit closer to home for some ice cream.  I got a cake batter shake.  mmm..  (:  Then on to my parents, talked to Mom for a bit, picked up the dog and on home where it was mostly rest.  Though I think maybe Sara was doing some garden/housework in the evening/night.

Yesterday was rough doing work again.  I can work from home, but that’s not always necessarily easier.  Kinda depends on what’s going on and the work to be done.

Today I’m back IN work and it seems like another difficult day.  I recommend just leisurely cruising around instead.  (:

And yuck-ola it’s humid and supposed to be about 83 today and 88/86 for the next couple.  I rode my bike in cause I NEED to start getting some of this weight off.  I’ve not really done much in that regard for quite a while now.  But we shall see just how bad the ride back sucks this afternoon.  I can tell you that the ride in this morning was already seemingly more work than it should have been, considering how easy it was a couple weeks ago when I came in a couple times.  I wish I could tell if it’s like my metabolism or the humidity or what exactly that makes my amount of energy/work required change so much.  I fear the trip back uphill this afternoon when it’s 83F if it was a bit tiring this morning at 60F downhill…

It’s the humidity. It totally sucks all the energy right out of you!

Oh but you will burn more calories with it being warmer! Just think of that as you feel like melting into the pavement!

There’s nothing more draining than an East coast summer. Hot, humid, horrendous! But, good for you, riding your bike. It may not be too fun, but you’ll feel every calorie you’re burning!

It is so crazy humid and hot here…absolute miserable time to have compression wrapping on one leg up to the thigh…like wearing 2 pairs of pants.
