Poetry Sparks
Why yes, it IS a second entry. I’d thought I’d put up a list of ideas to help out with this poetry challenge of ours. Having trouble with inspiration? Try any of these. It’s certainly better than staring at a blank cursor.
Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q50DKCe754A and try and write down what you are the lyrics they are chanting.
Count to 1000 outloud…What happened. What didn’t happen. Describe every feeling…and every thought
Think of ten things that flowers feel when little girls pick their petals off one by one.
Write down what each of your close friends and family members would think of when they see this hair style http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_mmBw3uzPnJI/SOyd5qb9CrI/AAAAAAAAUHA/2uGGMB9eRsY/s400/Weird_Hair_Styles_12.jpg (for added points think of what the hairstylist must have been thinking)
Describe five things that should never be done at a funeral
Try and write down the opposite of everything on your desk…..like for example the opposite of my xbox controller is a 1922 Roosevelt imperfection stamp.
Figure out why in all of heck catholics decided to have rabbits lay eggs on easter…I suppose that isn’t a good poetic spark…I just really want to know.
Write down what ancient humans would think of a blender
Make up nine words that rhyme with silver
Write down what must be going through the minds of people who get their nipples pierced.
