It’s finally just hit me.

I can’t go on forever…

No matter how hard I try,

I won’t be what I want to be.

The rest of the world,

says not to give a damn.

But I have to accept it..

I’m not as strong as I think I am.

I am only human…

and I wither like one too.

I wanted to be great,

But this wasn’t part of the plan.

My aspirations,

succeed for naught.

What my heart holds dear,

Is not what I wrought.

Forever out of reach,

Oblivion will consume me.

For one who lived in the light –

It’s not as bright as it used to be.
