Just a Dream

A ray of light shines
on my vast, empty realm.
Is it real? Is it true?
Could it really be…
a new chance?
A purifying glitter to raise these weights?
It begins to get farther away.
The winds reach for the light, but
it only becomes dimmer.
The life force gets weaker,
and the light starts to fade.
"It was only an echo." I’m told.
The sun pierces the room, and I realise…
It was only a dream.
