Looking forward

I have been on so much medicine and not feeling well the past couple of weeks that I can’t really remember everything I have wrote about, so if you see repeats forgive me.  I do look back, but sometimes I just want to come here and write what is on my mind.  I rarely get notes anymore, and I don’t have many faves.  Not like I use to.  I used to have over 150, now that has dwindled to a group of about five people I read everyday, think about, pray about, and hear from.  You know who you all are, and you are pretty special to me.

Good news… I wrote to the store director in Colorado, basically expressing that I would like to know if I was still being considered for the position in Senior Management, because other doors were opening, and I did not want to turn down something that might be a good fit for me if the doors had closed.  I would like to share his e-mail with you all.  I changed the name obviously, and took out detail information such as phone numbers, etc.

"Kimberly-

We have filled the Senior positions with the exception of one. I do have you for our deli manager position and front end. The process to get my management team to Colorado is taking longer than anticipated due to the store transitioning from the South Region to the Midwest. I hope that this helps but I do not want to hinder your opportunities. If you feel there is a better Sr. Manager position elsewhere, I would encourage you to take it. I cannot make any guarantees on your start date here other than to tell you that it will be before June 2013.

General Manager

Cabela’s Retail – Thornton, CO"

So, anything I have been considering any other position I have wanted gone.  I want the position in Thornton.  I feel that I would work really well with this store director and I am super excited that he was so quick to get back to me.  Since he is not needing me right now this will allow the girls to finish out the school year.  It will give me time to find a place to live, as well as, allow me to grow more in those areas at the store I am at.

Onto other news.  I went to work today for half a day.  The HR manager asked me if I had a release to go back to work.  I did not so she sent me to get one.  I could not get the release I needed so I came home.  Kind of glad.  I have one of the worst headaches ever.

I will be able to go back to work Friday or Saturday.  No biggie really, everything is excused because of the doctor’s notes.  My job is secure.

My daughter in Texas that is a Senior has many demands though, which are pricey.  She needs money for a prom dress, her nails done, gas in her truck, her hair to get done, etc. etc.  At least her prom is not until mid-May.

My daughter in Tennessee also has demands.  She wants her phone paid.  I wanted her to ride with us to Texas in June, but she insists she is driving.  I think it is a waste of $200+ dollars in gas, but she says she needs to take her car back to Texas to get it worked on (to the dealership).  I refuse to ride with her.  She is not a good driver.

In the meantime, I am going to get Whitney’s license so she can help drive back.  I think it will be a good experience for her.
