I Would Kill For Some Sleep

Our store was the second one to get robbed. Of course, this comes the week I’m scheduled to work an overnight shift thanks to one of the girls telling my boss that I requested to work the overnights. In fact, had our overnight guy went on vacation like he’d planned, I’d have been the one to actually get robbed. I’m not afraid of working. Hell, I’m working tonight to train one of our new people, so I’m not even alone, but I’m pissed that I have to work a random overnight. Everything worked out as far as schedules, so we didn’t need to worry about someone watching Ville, but I simply cannot force my body to sleep whenever it’s convenient. Baby has me on a pretty strict schedule of wake up early, like 6ish, and pass out around 10ish. Hell, I struggle to push it to 11 some nights just to spend that hour with Darryl after work. It usually ends with me passing out in the middle of our conversation. I don’t get naps, and my body has adjusted to that, so when I tried to nap today my body pretty much gave me a big "Fuck you!" So now I’m working from 10 to 6 tonight, running on about 4 hours of sleep and no nap. I’m pure exhausted, but I just couldn’t get my body to cooperate. Ugh. I’m so pissed that my boss was told I preferred this bullshit. I’m not too happy with the girl right now. Anyways, I need to go shower and get this night the hell over with.
Omg, I have to share this before I go. Darryl just told me the sweetest thing. He asked me if I was happy to be having another baby. I explained shortly that right now I’m not exactly capable of feeling actual happiness right now. He took my hand and told me that he would be happy for the both of us then. <3 So sweet, I had to share.
