break on through
Stars burn bright and die…
As the millennia goes by….
Who will know…
Handprints on a cave wall…
Spear points in the sand…
Who will know the makers hand…
Yet here…
Forever here the once load joy
A young man laughs
Sun through summer breeze goes by
Endless days
Empires lost through tide and time
Nameless poets scribe their rhyme
What was his name
I used to know
I turn to see and old man with child upon his knee
The was him
The elder me
And yet one year we’ll all agree
What happened to him?
Enjoy the grey and silent night
Enjoy the fires by starlight
Their gone you know, the stars
Look up on yesterday and see heaven as it used to be
Sigh once more as you turn off your lights
And dream
