Yes. It is important to learn how to love yourself enough to be comfortable being alone. Creating a space for yourself that makes you happy. Being able to do what you want when you want and having a peaceful life. Also do for yourself what you would want from a partner. Take yourself on dates. Also having a pet truly helps with the loneliness.

I believe it’s true, “happiness is only real when shared”. It’s at the end of Into the wild.
Some things really aren’t worth doing if they aren’t shared. So the challenge becomes..how to connect deeply, sufficiently. And how do you know it’s a real connection? This is the death: Disillusionment. This is the heartbreak: loss. But the loss, whether it’s a break up or death, is only temporary. The veil is thin and we will be reunited. If we are still and open our eye, we’ll learn that we were never separated. We forgot that we are all still connected. This is the place I am reaching for. You are welcome to reach with me.
