Totally and completely confused *w/edit

I honestly don’t know what to do

I can walk, quit out right and have a check in hand for my PTO

Or I can take the next 8 days off, using my PTO and get a check after the 14th should they say that we’re no longer in business.  Heaven helps us if they can’t pay everyone!

I can work temp while on furlough from work here

I could bank that money and then look for a job at the same time

Or maybe having the limited security of getting a check in 2 weeks is going to keep me going until I get a temp or full time gig?

I have been interviewing since July, I asked ASD if she’s been looking and she said, no, I am optimistic

Well, shoot, a lot of good that optimism has done for you

I think I am going to sleep on it, figure something out in the shower or something lol I do all my best thinking there

*Edit:  I am not able to file unemployment until after the company officially lays us off after 11/14.  On the plus side, I just got off the phone with Stanford Temps, they were blown away by me and will be sending my resume over for a position that’s temp to hire.  I will be taking probably a $10,000 cut in pay a year, however, I will be WORKING and that’s really all I care about

I think I may have to take a drive tonight

If you quit could you get unemployment? I know you can if the company goes under. Maybe get a temp gig while you wait for the 2 week deadline.

Do not quit! Make them can you. If possible, work during the two week period.

Yep….sleep on it…you’ll figure it out in the shower in the morning. HUGS

By not quitting you may have more options available. The ‘shower-thinking’ often works for me! 🙂 RYN: BHO won the popular vote and the electoral vote – YAY! *S* Being part of the process was pretty exciting. We had people from CA, OH, UT, MA, Kenya (via OK), and TX here to help with the campaign – good folks, all, and we got ‘er done!
