On the other side

Our company kickoff for my office the year was Tuesday

We have a committee however I was in charge of logistics.  Which meant venue, catering, happy hour, shuttles

For 300 people

To be fair, we were really threading the needle in terms of timing, with lunch delivery, shuttles, registration, etc.

Lunch never showed up to the office, so I had to pivot and have them deliver it to the venue, the lovely Golden Gate Club in the Presidio. I totally scored on that one.  If you are ever in SF, and need a venue, you won’t find a more perfect spot for a wedding or a company function

Because you always go to Mom for all the answers, everyone was coming to me for info on the lunches, the setup of them, the timing of the meeting, pretty much everything I didn’t have an answer for because I didn’t have this worse case scenario in my mind. So I tried not to snap at people and we made it work. I think that freaked out people that Mom didn’t know the answer lol

That was literally the only glitch the whole day

Overall I think that the event went extremely well, and people were pleased with everything, the format of the agenda, happy hour, especially the million dollar view

I got home that night and took a hot shower and crashed. It felt so good to lay down, as I was on my feet since 8am

On Wednesday was the PD kickoff.  Not as many people, maybe 125?  That went off without a hitch. It was perfect

Thanks to kickoff, all the out of town folks are here and there’s a ton of team meetings and catering is always a concern.  I am currently waiting on more food from our team meeting that had double the amount of people than expected

I am so glad this week is over and I can get back to my life as the culture creator and assistant and not running all over herding cats

Question?  Do you have some help with these or do you do them all your self?

@jaythesmartone I do them all myself usually.  For the company kickoff they all deferred to me however I started pushing back on the committee.  Problem was, they all had sessions to organize.  I printed all the badges but made them stuff them in the sleeves, stuff like that
