It was a valiant fight

But I lost the battle

Got a tickle in my throat over the weekend. Kept a super low profile (other than getting my hair dyed all one color and my nails done) and fought it off the best I could

It’s a tough week for me with all the events but I am fading fast

Taking gifts to the warehouse for the charity this afternoon and hanging out with a friend tonight, but hoping it’s early to bed tonight

Why do people who are getting sick come to work or leave their house? I know I am the queen of hypocrisy coming to work feeling like I got hit by a truck but what’s an event person to do?

I wonder the same thing at work. Strangely enough, folks come in sick as dogs, with the cough of a thousand hells,  and no one tells them SHIT… but I come in and sneeze *once* and my stupid supervisor is all over me, how I should stay home because I’m going to “infect” others at work. Stupid bitch. Just last week she sounded like her every goddamned organ was going to come out with each cough, and only the gods know WHAT she is afflicted with, since she just came back from abroad…

@thenerve I often wonder how people are raised. I sit on the train and see people cough and sneeze and don’t cover their mouths.  I pantomimed covering my mouth to one woman, and sprayed liberal amounts of anti-bacterial on me, but she acted like it was ME that was passing the plague. I can kinda get the coughing problem, because I was sick earlier this year and my cough lasted months. I sounded like a band of seals escaped into my office, but I felt great otherwise

@kattster – ROFL @ “a band of seals” hahahaha, I’ll never look at another coughing person the same way again. Particularly not my stupid supervisor.  But I hear you… I mean, basic courtesy, right?  I live in Weirdo Capital, though… when someone’s sick, you’ll quickly see folks pulling surgical masks out of their bags (who carries those “just in case”?!) and not just putting them on but moving feet away from you the second you cough.

Oh, of course, I hope you get well soon  <:)

It bothers me when people do that too! I do not go anywhere to pass my germs when I am sick because I know some people those germs can kill them

If you go to work thinking you are sick will someone tell you to go home and not come back till you are better?
