Wow, fast week!

I’ve tried several times this week to post an entry, but not having much luck getting it done.  I finally got to a stopping point here at work so decided to make good use of that time and type away.

This has been an interesting week here at work.  Monday I took off though and enjoyed my day with Mike.  We spent our anniversary shopping and eating a very late lunch at Red Robin.  YUM, that was so good!  We’ll definitely be going back there again, we’d never been.  I have absolutely GOT to get through my closet, there are clothes in there that I can’t even get to because it’s crammed so full now.  I thought about maybe starting that tonight while Mike is at work.  He has to work tomorrow night too, so he’ll be asleep all day tomorrow and I won’t get anything done.  This is the first long weekend he’s had in over a month, it’s been nice having him up and moving around on Saturdays.  I have to find a way to entertain myself tomorrow while he snoozes.

Tuesday, I came back to work and it was not such a good day.  Overwhelmingly busy, of course.  When Mike came to get me for lunch, we left as normal and went through our guard gate.  The red and white "arm" that the guards raise and lower came crashing down on top of the car.  It didn’t do any damage though, thank goodness.  There are marks where it hit, but Mike said they will buff out.  Later that afternoon, our contractors started painting one of the shops downstairs using epoxy based paint.  The fumes were horrible and made me sick.  We ended up getting sent home early because of it.  Only 30 minutes or so, but it was horrible.  I got sick again the next day, but Mike figures it was probably just residual because it really didn’t smell overpowering up here by then.  I was fine yesterday and today, but I’m kind of nervous about coming in on Monday.  They are supposed to finish what they started over the weekend.  I hope they finish early enough to completely air out our work areas. 

We had some vicious weather yesterday.  There were several tornados around our area, and also down by my Mom.  I haven’t talked to Mom yet to see if they got any damage, but I’m sure she would have called if they had. 

This tornado touched down in a small town not a long way from us.  This picture was taken by a friend of mine and several other friends saw it but didn’t get a picture.  Prety scary stuff.

So..nothing too traumatic, right?  haha   But, definitely an out of the ordinary week.  I do know a couple of things I can do tomorrow while Mike is asleep.  I very rarely wear makeup, but you would be surprised at how much I actually own.  I want to get it organized again and throw out some of the older stuff.  Same with my nail polishes.  I do wear that a lot and I just restocked some of it.  I need to go through all of them and give some of my duplicate or very similar colors to my sister.  She loves it when I go through those items, she always benefits.  I can take all of it downstairs while Mike is asleep and organize to my hearts content.
