Workout rambling. **
It’s weird to say this, but I am starting to understand why people get addicted to exercise. We have owned our elliptical for 2 weeks now, and I seriously love it. I actually like sweating while I’m working out, because it is confirming that I am burning calories. I love the happy/calm feeling I get after working out (is this the elusive exercise high I have heard about?!) I love the time I get to myself while I’m using it. I usually watch Vampire Diaries (I just started watching the series on Netflix). I love how convenient it is having the elliptical here at home. I could go on and on. I’m starting to build some endurance. I can go faster and longer on it now. I used to get a horrible side stitch right at 14 – 15 minutes. I do have a question for those of you who have used exercise equipment and a HRM. Do you find the calories burned displayed on the machine to be accurate to what your heart rate monitor says? For example, my elliptical usually will say less calories burned than if I plugged a 20 min elliptical workout to myfitnesspal’s website. My heartrate usually stays around 160-170 according to the machine (it has sensors on the grips), sometimes 140-150 depending if I am going slower. I’m just curious how accurate it is. I’m excited to eventually start trying to run (when we go to the lake to workout). It is something I have always wanted to do. I need to lose quite a bit of weight before it will be possible I know.
I made a huge pot of vegetable soup over the weekend. I’ve found it is pretty much the only way I can get myself to eat vegetables. I need to work on lowering the amount of sodium I am consuming though.
I’m also thinking of stopping my birth control after we go to the beach in June. I want to see if it is causing me to lose weight slower/causing my crazy sugar craving, and contributing to my water retention problems. I’m afraid I’ll wind up pregnant though 🙁 I wouldn’t mind another kid, I just want to get into shape BEFORE getting pregnant again.
I’m pretty boring today 😛
i dont really feel like they are that accurate by the way (the counts on the machine). do you have to enter in your weight? and as for stopping BC, i think you will end up pregnant if you do that. you seem to be very fertile. 🙂 im not on birth control and i crave sugar or salt right before i get mine.

Can you get an IUD until you decide to try for #3? I can’t say much about BC, my IUD is in the drawer in the bedroom LOL I use Runkeeper and MFP, they seem to give similar calorie burns whereas the HRM’s give different ones. The computer on our bike used to say I was burning 800 cals in 40 minutes. One of my goals is to eventually run too 😀
