Weekend and some photos ** edit for suspicious con

I am worn out, and it isn’t even noon yet!  The kids keep trashing the house (and it is just Ethan and Izzy here).  It is like they are running from one thing to the next, emptying things on the floor and running to the next thing and repeating.  I’m exhausted from trying to keep things picked up.  Izzy has been into everything.  Grrr.  Only 2 more weeks left of babysitting!

Our new mattress was delivered on Friday.  You don’t realize how bad you need a new mattress until you get one!  I don’t wake up sore and exhausted anymore.  I used to have back pain, and also I would toss and turn all night.  I sleep more soundly now (minus still being woke up several times by the cat or kids).  Jamie said he hasn’t been having back pain for the past few days.  The mattress is really firm, which is quite the opposite from our pillowtop that we had.  We have moved some furniture around, and the house looks so much better.  We put the futon in the dining room.  It is a fairly large room, and even with a huge table that seats 10, it still looked empty.  Now it looks more complete.  We also moved the 37 inch tv to the boys room from the spare bedroom.  I need to take the desk and chair out of our bedroom and it will look nicer too.  We bought a new bedding set that looks really nice and goes more with the wall colors, and we also bought some new bedside lamps.  Now we have quite a few things that we need to sell.  I’m hoping to have a yard sale this weekend if the weather will permit.  Our outbuilding is full of items that we need to get rid of.  I need to suck it up and get rid of some of the kids baby clothes and toys too.  There is so much stuff in boxes in the building.  I am dreading going through it all.

Any who, Saturday we went to Beckley to take the kids to the Jump Kraze place.  They had a blast and wore themselves out.  Ofcourse we had Five Guys for lunch (there isn’t a five guys close to home).  We did a little shopping while out.  Kmart had a 99 cent sale on fall winter clothes!  I score 2 long sleeve shirts, and 2 heavy winter coats for the kids for $4.00!  Can’t feaking beat that!  We also stopped at TJ Maxx and that is where we bought our new bedding set.  They had the Rockstar Mickey on sale, so we picked that up for Ethan’s birthday.  I can’t believe my baby will be 3 in just a couple months!  Time is flying by.  I need to decide where we are having his party, so we can make reservations.  That is what sucks about having a July 4th baby.  Most outdoor places are booked up. Jamie has been craving red lobster lately.  We haven’t been able to get my mom to babysit, so we decided to make it at home!  We bought the cheddar bay biscuit mix, crab legs and corn on the cob.  It all turned out super yummy!  It was the first time I had made crab legs at home. It was super easy, and I don’t know why we hadnt’ tried cooking them sooner!

Yesterday we went to Sams.  We bought a bedframe for the bed in the spare bedroom.  We also picked up a couple of those large tables (for yardsales, and outdoor parties).

Owen’s preschool took him on a field trip today.  They are going to a library, and then to a mexican restaurant for lunch.  I hope he has fun.  He seemed excited this morning.

Supposedly you can win a trip to the 2013 American Idol finale… WHICH TOOK PLACE LAST WEEK.  So how is it that the contest is still open for another 2 days??  Sounds fishy to me.
