Weekend

I had a pretty good weekend. I’m sad that it is Sunday night already 🙁  Friday evening we took the kids to a park.  It was windy and a bit chilly, so we didn’t stay too long.  There was a little boy there who is Owen’s age.  He kept asking Owen to play with him, but Owen wasn’t interested 🙁  I kind of wish he was more sociable sometimes.  It would be great to see him have little friends.  Maybe he just needs time because he is so shy.  I was a shy kid, so I know what it is like, and I won’t push him.

Saturday we went to Beckley.  We took the kids to Jump Kraze, which is a huge area that has a ton of those big inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses.  The boys had a blast, and were wore out.  I wish we had taken them before now!  Its a great place to let kids have fun when it is cold (like in Winter) or raining.  I’m thinking of maybe having one of their birthday parties there.  After jumping, we went to Five Guys for lunch.  Yum!  I get the cheeseburger with mushrooms.  It is a huge burger, but oh so tasty!

Today was spent cleaning the house, then we had our friends Courtney and Matt over for dinner.  It wasn’t too bad.  Matt seemed a little distracted/distant most of the time he was here. He made a few comments about Courtney that has me wondering if they’re starting to have issues.  These are the two that met, were engaged within 3 months and married after only knowing each other for 6 months or so.  I dunno.  I guess time will tell.  We watched 21 Jump Street.  It was pretty funny.  I hadn’t heard of it for some reason, so I didn’t know what it was about prior to watching.

Owen’s hearing test is on Tuesday.  He was supposed to have it last month, but wound up getting the flu. I’m hoping that he cooperates.

Ethan has been a handful these past few days.  He has been climbing onto everything/anything and jumping off of it.  He recent favorites are the tv stand and his dresser (which is one of the tall ones) That kid is Mr Destructo.  I caught him trying to climb the bookshelf in our living room.  Thankfully we anchored it to the wall in case such an event happened.
