Rainy Monday**

Jamie and I made the yummiest dinner last night.  Grilled steak, grilled corn on the cob, sauteed mushrooms, onions and peppers and homemade biscuits.  Did I mention how much I love grilling?!  The steaks were really good and juicy, the corn was sweet.  Everything was really good.  It was the first time I have grilled corn on our grill.  We just pulled off a few outer layers of husk and threw them on.  We rotated them every few mins, and they turned out really good.  Grilled or roasted corn tastes so much better than boiled for some reason.

Well, I told Izzy’s mom this morning.  I felt really bad, and I’m going to miss Izzy. I told her that I’m going to be gone a lot this summer and won’t be able to babysit. She asked me if I wanted to keep her again in the fall, and I told her I would let her know.  Maybe I just need a summer off, I dunno.  It is true though.  We are going to be gone a lot.

Jamie has one more assignment (a term paper) and his is finished with his master’s degree.  I’m so excited for him.  He is wanting to go to his graduation ceremony, which is Fort Lauderdale, FL.  I’ve got to figure out the complete cost of the trip and the logistics of how we’re getting there etc.  We will need to have someone watch the kids for a few days while we go.  I’d like to go for him, but I’m not sure if it would be a good idea financially.  We’re looking at a grand or so just to go down there for a few days (train tickets cost about the same as a plane ticket).  It would be a fun little trip though.

Owen didn’t want to go to school this morning.  It makes me sad when he doesn’t want to go, cuz I’d love for him to stay here with me.  I have to send him though, because the preschool follows the county’s attendance policy.

The weather is rainy today 🙁  I was enjoying the nice warm weather.
