Quick Update, 1st ob visit
Had my first OB visit yesterday. It was more involved than I expected. I peed in a cup as usual. I had to do an early 1 hour glucose test because my brother is diabetic. They also took like 8 vials of blood for a multitude of other things. I had to get a vaginal test for STDs per the norm. My blood pressure was a little high. Great, I hope I don’t get to deal with this for the whole pregnancy. I’ve had some spotting pretty much every week since I’ve been pregnant, so the dr did a quick ultrasound. I got to see my little beanie in there and hear the heartbeat 🙂 Such a wonderful thing. Jamie wanted to go to the ultrasound, but she did it right about the same time Owen was to get off of the bus. We get to go back in 2 weeks to get an ultrasound done with the tech to set a due date, so he can see it then.
We finally told my family, so now I think everyone is pretty much in the loop. I called my mom and had Owen tell her. She didn’t understand the first few times he said it, but eventually she worked it out. Everyone seems pretty happy. Owen is actually pretty excited. He wants the baby to come out now. He wants sister.
I’m going to keep this entry short. Ethan ripped half of the keys off of the laptop, and trying to type is a pain in the butt.
Here is beanie’s first picture. Their machine doesn’t give the clearest images, and also I took a pic with my cellphone, but you get the idea.
