Quick Recap

I didn’t realize it had been so long since I wrote.  Lets see, what all has been going on?

Thursday, my mom came up to visit.  We wound up heading to the mall to let the boys play and have lunch.  It was nice to have the company. Mom seemed normal for once.  She was talkative and we actually could have a conversation.  For the past couple of years, us spending time together usually ends up with me frustrated with her.  The boys enjoyed having her attention.  Friday Jamie had tests run on his gallbladder.  He has been having stomach pain for quite some time now.  They found multiple gallstones, the larger one being an inch in diameter.  His next step will be to meet with the surgeon 🙁  I don’t like him having to have surgery, but I do want him to feel better.  It sucks being in pain all of the time.  After his tests on Friday we went to Beckley to shop for living room furniture.  We have beige microfiber sofa and loveseat (you can imagine how fun that is to clean all of the time with a 3 and 4 year old).  We have had it since before we found out we were expecting Owen, so probably over 5 years.  They clean up nicely, but they’ve had a good run, and it is time for something new.  I am tired of cleaning them constantly.  We picked out a leather type (not sure what material it is for sure) sofa and love seat.  The sofa has recliners built into it, and the love seat has recliners that rock in it (how awesome will those be if we have another baby!!).  We also ordered 2 cherry book cases.  We still need to get a media cabinet and end tables somewhere.  The new stuff is supposed to be delivered on Friday!  New furniture means that we need to redecorate (our livingroom was a beach theme).  So Saturday evening we repainted the livingroom.  I’ll post some before and after pics once we get our new furniture and decor.  We’re not sure if we want to go with a Tuscan theme or a vintage (not primitive!) theme.  Sunday we  took the kids to the drive in movies.  They were playing Monsters University, which we have already seen at the theater, but we figured it would be something fun to do.  Yesterday, Jamie and actually got to go out to dinner without the kids 🙂  We wound up at Olive Garden, just because we haven’t been there in a while.  I got the Tuscan Garlic Chicken.  It was pretty good, but I like the stuffed chicken marsala better.

Oh yeah, Jamie’s sister had her baby on Friday. They named her Emilee (I hate that spelling).  We still haven’t seen her yet.

I’ve been stuffing my face with unhealthy fast food and junk lately. The scale and my pants are not happy.  I’ll learn one of these days.  I keep reminding myself that I can’t try for a baby until I lose some more weight.
