Nausea, parent involvement, busy week.
This pregnancy seems to be a bit different from my previous two. Maybe that means something IS different? Perhaps a girl? 😛 Instead of the yucky all day nausea I had with the boys, I am having more intense nausea that comes in waves throughout the day. I woke up at 3 am, and headed for the porcelain throne because it was so strong I thought I was going to toss my cookies. I’ve never had that with the previous pregnancies. I’m also crazy hormonal. Anything and everything is setting me off. My face is broken out a little. I can deal with all of this though, as long as everything else goes smoothly. I’m hoping for a pre-eclampsia and blood pressure problem free 9 months this go around. I still can’t believe I am pregnant with our third child! Holy moly, what have we done?! LOL. I just realized that this baby will be born just before Ethan is set to go to preschool. So much for some alone time for mommy! My first OB appointment is next week.
Today was parent involvement day at Owen’s preschool. I had a lot of fun, and hope they do a few more throughout the year. When we got there this kids sang us a few songs, then we headed to the classroom for activities and crafts. We carved a pumpkin, then made strawberry ghosts (strawberries dipped in white chocolate), and made Halloween door hangers. Owen was pretty clingy throughout the time I was there, and would not let me get two steps away from him.
Owen had his second basketball game yesterday (third for the team). We had to skip Saturday because he had a nasty cough. Yesterday the coaches and refs didn’t do as good of a job in making sure each kid got a turn taking the ball down the court. There is one boy on Owen’s team that hogs the ball. It’s great that he is good at making baskets and what not, but it kills the fun for the other kids when he isn’t sharing the ball. Finally towards the end of the game, the coach made him let other kids have turns. The ref picked Owen up once so he could make a basket. That made Owen day 🙂 I need to take the Nikon and get some good pics. My new phone’s camera just doesn’t take as good of pics as my iphone did. We have a busy week this week. We had team pics on Saturday, a game on Monday. Parent Involvement was today. We are doing Trick or Treat in the dorms tomorrow night, trick or treat at family’s houses on Thursday. We have another game on Saturday. We also carved our huge pumpkin last night at home. Owen loved pulling out the squishy guts. Ethan didn’t really want to touch it and preferred to scoop with a spoon. We have a couple more pumpkins. I think I may skip carving those. I’ve seem people stick Mr Potato Head pieces on pumpkins for faces. I may give that a try. The kids will probably get a kick out of it. Owen is ridiculously excited for trick or treating.
Oh yeah, Jamie told his mom and dad that we are expecting. So that means that basically everyone knows now except for my family.
