My poor living room floor.

Noters Beware!! This is a “mean-note” free diary.

So about a week ago or so, I noticed that my front door wasn’t closing right. The bottom had kind of bent inward toward the living room. I wasn’t sure why that was happening. I thought maybe since the temperature was above freezing now, the wood was swollen due to more humidity in the air. I made a note to mention it to my dad the next time we spoke.

Then a couple days after that, I noticed that there was a small bump in my living room floor, right by my nifty comfortable chair. This gave me some concern so I mentioned it to my friend and asked her to mention it to her husband.

Then a day or so after that, I noticed that a bump was growing on the floor near my door. And it wasn’t too small. And when I checked the bump near my nifty comfortable chair, I was pretty sure it had grown.

So I had my friend’s husband make a special trip over here to figure out what the heck was happening.

Well, what was happening was that a water line had somewhere along the line gotten a pin size hole in it and was spraying the hell out of the underside of the trailer. And the floor of this trailer under the carpet and padding was that cheap-ass chipboard. The water line was not decent cpvc, but that cheap softer plastic stuff that was recalled way back in the day.

So….my living room that used to look like this…

my new comfy chair

now looks like this….

It will eventually be back to its normal self, but in the meantime, all my furniture, including my nifty comfortable chair, is in my kitchen and everything is shifted everywhere and I am going nuts. This sucks. I don’t know what god I pissed off or how I did it, but I wish that particular god knew how sorry I was. Why is it that everything I buy turns to crap or requires expensive repairs within several months? GAH!!!!!!

that stinks! at least you didn’t find out what the problem was by someone getting hurt, that would have been worse!

Oh wow…that is awful. Will it take long to fix? I am so sorry that this happened to your home. ryn: I can understand how you feel about perpetual theives. It would be very frustrating. Great to see you again!!

On the bright side, you got the problem diagnosed and under repair and it won’t happen again. On the dark side, Darth Vader is Luke’s father.

I hate it when the gods are restless, and look around to find someone to mess with. Hope they decide to find someone elses life to turn upside down.
