Silence Kid

– First off, I may have finally sorted my living/working situations. Yesterday I had a good interview at a Phone-Survey place where they basically said they’d hire me (as soon as my background check clears). I won’t be taking any surveys, luckily, just doing the endless data entry and mail sorting that they entail for 40 hrs./wk. It will probably be boring and exhausting (never worked a regular 9-5 job before), but right now, it’s still preferable to working about 20 hours at the movie theater (since they only work me on weekends now). Plus it will be away from the public, and they won’t confiscate my radio. Also, I may actually be able to save money with this gig. The job terminates in December, which should give me enough time to sock away a couple thousand bucks in preparation for moving far, far away. So it looks as if that one period of strife may finally be wearing down.

– I still don’t have internet though, and probably won’t until I move to the new place in July.

– As for Partyville USA, it’s still underway. I have written a couple pages since I last posted, and I know what the ending is, but getting up to that is still TBD, plot-wise. But I’ll crack it eventually (probably the next time I get decent weed) and get it up for the three of you who are reading it.

– Other than that I’ve just been mostly bored. With no internet or cable, and excessive days off from work have left me with a lot of long, empty days to fill by rewatching our DVDs or reading very long books. My internet-free life has been getting easier though. I went the last three days without logging on to anything (though part of that was that neither of the coffee shops I went to in the last couple days had their wi-fi working).

– But in general I’m still alive, still hanging on, still trying to make things work to varying degrees of success.

glad you’re still alive and that things, while temporarily still sucking, seem to be looking up. ~

Sorry I’ve been MIA. I shall try to play catch-up soon. I’m glad you had a successful interview and that it will lead to accomplishing some things you need to do. And yes, “getting out” is a need. Take care, you. Oh, and I’m looking forward to reading the story!! ~*
